Its an 1978 Berlinetta. The reason that i chose this car over a Z28 was because it had a great body for 25yr old car, theres not a spec of rust anywhere on the body and everything on it is original. I bought the car sometime around winter last year when I was sixteen for 500 bucks. My dad and I did alot of work over the past year with the car including a new rear and breaks. Right know the car is waiting on a engine swap from a 229c.i. which is currently in the car to a 350.

This is what we've done since we brought the car home...

Rear
-Rebuilt 8.5" 10bolt w/3.42 Richmond Ring and Pinion Gears

Exhaust
Dynomax cat-back w/super turbo muffler

It's really unfortunate that I had a 1979 Berlinetta with a 305 that I bought it in 1986 for $3,500 (back then you could actually find a '78 or '79 for $2,500, I overpayed at the time) Sold it in 1990 for much less beacause it was falling apart on me and I am not a gear head so I was spending a lot of money every time I took it in to be worked on. You can see my white Camaro on my past rides page 2. Man I can't beleive all the cars you have at age 20. When I was your age I couldn't even afford the insurance on the one car I had. lucky you! Good Luck....Al

Why would a '78 camaro with no rust only cost $500? Was the engine blown? tranni shot? Just curious. I wish I could find one as nice as that for $500. Good Luck!

That is one sweet 78. Do I see new stock Z28 decals on that car?
