I purchased this '82 DeLorean in the summer of 01 and have been restoring it ever since. My '94 Prelude serves as my daily driver while I restore the DeLorean. I've done quite a bit of work on the D, including:

-Replaced all door/bonnet/louvre struts
-Straightened front Fascia
-Repainted Front/Rear Fascia's
-Replaced Left Hi-beam
-Fixed Intermittent Tail Lights
-Returned Signal Lenses to Amber Color
-Replaced all tires with Michelin Pilots
-Recharged R-12
-Added Stainless Throttle shield
-Replaced all coolant hoses
-Replaced Coolant Overflow bottle with Stainless one
-Replaced all Belts and Idler Pulley
-Replaced Brake Master Cylinder
-New Brake Pads
-Recovered Seats
-Recovered Dash Binnacle
-Recovered Knee pad
-Repainted Dash
-Replaced A-post covers
-Replaced Windshield & Windshield Wipers
-New Stereo & Speakers
-New Rear Power Antenna
-New Centerforce Clutch and flywheel
-Stainless Steel Clutch Line
-Clutch master and Slave Cylinder
-Replaced all fuses and relays
-Replaced shocks with DMC Netherlands adjustable power shocks
-Replaced springs with DMC Houston Performance Eibach kit
-Replaced front stabalizer bushings with polyurethane one's from DMC Netherlands.

Im well over the 20k mark when you add up all the restoration work with the orginal price of the vehicle. This car has given no trouble. Ive driven it cross country without any problems what-so-ever. Here are a few photos from my trip the DeLorean Car show in Memphis:

*UPDATE*
Went to DeLorean Car Show in Pigeon Forge and had a fantastic time. I got to drive the "The Dragon" at Deals gap. Pumped up the tires and set out early one morning to tackle over 300 curves through the mountains. What a rush. The DeLorean handled the curves beautifully. I don't know if I've ever had that much fun in my life. Below I've included a few photos from Pigeon Forge '04. Look forward to seeing everyone again in Chicago at the '06 DeLorean Car Show.

I live near the Chesapeake Bay in Southern Maryland and I was able to take some pictures of the DeLorean by the Bay. Here's a few shots I took.

**Update** 3/19/05. Today is a very sad day for all DeLorean enthusiasts. John DeLorean has passed away. Click HERE for my tribute to the man responsible for creating a car that has changed so many lives.

**Update** 4/06/06. Upgraded my suspension today. The car now sits much lower and handles much better. I replaced the springs with DMC Houston's Performance Eibach springs. I also put on polyurethane front stabilizar bar bushings along with a set of adjustable performance shocks from the DMC Netherlands. I really love how the the car drives and looks now.
