The Pure Rage Racing Chevelle
I have been racing my 1970 SS Chevelle at New England Drag way in Epping N.H. in the Street E.T. Points Series for 4 years now. I bought the car for $200 about 6 years ago and totally restored it with my dad. It had no motor or tranny or floors and needed some good body work and some TLC. I originally had a 305ci in it to start off and the whole car was totally bone stock. It ran 15.'s in the 1/4 and had was on street tires and was a one leger. Today it has a 400ci in it with many high performance upgrades done to the engine, tranny, rear end, and suspension. It now has a B&M Pro shift kit with a B&M 3000 stall converter and a dynomax limited slip locker with 373 gears. It is on a set of Hoosier Quick Time Pro ET Street Slicks and Aluminum Rims. The engine has a Victor Jr. Intake with an 800 cfm Performer Carb. It has an MSD ignition with high flow plugs a wires. It has a set of Headmen Headers leading into a 2 1/2" Dual Straight pipe Exhaust with 3" Dynomax Bullet's. There are a few other High Performance changes as well but I do have competition out there so some things will stay classified. The car Now runs 13.'s in the 1/4.
I have qualified and raced at the World Bracket Finals at Norwalk Race Way Park in Norwalk Ohio for the past three years including my rookie year 2001, 2002, and 2003. I got my first Class Win on 6/8/03 and finished 7th over all in points in my class for the year to finish in the top ten.
