On 10/16/04 the Metroplex Miata Enthusiasts and the North Texas S2000 Owner's Club went on a fun roadtrip! Robin & David headed out in the Black & Tan and I took the Radioactive Loogie.
We started out at Tailchaser's work place and headed over to the big car show at the Shelby Continuation Center in Carrollton, TX.
There were lots of beautiful cars. The owner of this Corvette was nice enough to let David sit in it for a couple of pictures!
There were cars of all makes and models including several Panteras. These things are SWEET :D
For those that like the old school, big engine musclecar here is one that is nice and rare. The owner did a wonderful job of restoring it.
This one is my favorite of the show. A nice Ford GT. All the cars of my dreams were at this show, including some Lamborghinis. I always wanted a Lamborghini since I was a little kid... but then I grew up and saw the price tag. Kinda the same with the GT too...
This one is a beauty. All chromed and sparkling like a diamond. They did a wonderful job on this Cobra.
This Cobra once held the world's land speed record. I'd sure love to get it out on the open road ;)
Next up was the open road. We took all the backroads we could find to get to Muenster, TX. It was a great day for top down driving.
We all got to the German restaurant in one piece! They even had non-German food for the picky people amongst the group. The Schnitzel was very good.
Next we stopped at Tioga, TX, for some BBQ to go. This place is a little hole-in-the-wall BBQ joint... but hey, that's where you go to get the best stuff, right?
Another shot of the cars at the BBQ joint. After this we went our own separate ways to go home. It was a great trip, everyone got home safe, and nobody got a ticket!
