OK! Here's the new ride - I finally got to wash and wax her. These pics were taken when she was not quite 3 weeks old to me.
She's a left over 2003 model that the dealership had marked WAY down. I saved over $8,000 off the sticker! She came from the dealership with 18" Enkei rims, low profile tires, chrome stylebar, brushed aluminium dash trim kit, and the spoiler.
She looks great and is a MAJOR head turner! Much to the wife's dismay, I've had lots of compliments on it and a couple of ladies shouting across an intersection that they loved the car.
Another gratuituous shot of Loogie. I think I'll get a vanity plate of "MYLOOGIE" or "LOOGIE"
Here's a shot of the inside of the car. You can see the style bars and the brushed aluminum dash trim kit.
Under the hood there is a factory shock tower brace! This car rides like it is on rails. It takes corners with ease that the 92 Black & Tan took with steering wheel fighting.
Here's a close up of the mouth. There's a billet grill in there! It wasn't listed as a dealer add-on, but it's there... Not sure if that is factory or not. You can see the silver where the paint has been chipped. I'm going to take it out and remove the paint to have the metal show for bling-bling. Funny... I just noticed this grille while at the car wash for the first time today. I had just ordered a grill from OK Miata - I guess I don't need it after all.
Now it's time for mods... Oil filter relocation kit, saddlebags for the style bar, Track Dog Racing Air Splitter, and now racing stripes!
These were done by Larry at Pro Tape Signs and Graphics in Carrollton, TX. I picked the color, the style, and he installed them in a couple of hours one day.
I chose the style as a kind of retro 60's style look from the old roadster days. Now the car gets even more stares, honks, and waves :D
