This is My 1969 Ford Galaxie 500 2 Door Notchback. The car is Black with a White Interor, It has had its original 289 taken out and a 351W put in its place. The 351 is stock except for headers and dual Exhaust, it also sports a 2 barrel carb. As for the rest of the drive train there is a ford 8.8 rearend with 2.75 gears and a Ford AOD Tranny. Currently with that set up it is able to do around 150mph, but this spring the reaend will be taken out and a Ford 9' will take its place with eather 4.11 or 4.56 gears.

Very nice ride! I love seeing thye fastback Sportsroof coupes! They are so far and few and far between in the world of big Fords! I have a 69 429 4V Sportsroof strip model, non XL.

Hey, I am emailing all the 69 Galaxie owners a question. I am doing a frame off restoration on mine. The body is off the frame and I need to know a measurement. I am replacing the entire trunk pan out of mine and need to know the measurement between the ground and the bottom of the trunk pan at the front (closest to the engine) right behind the rear differential. The reason I ask, is because I am replacing the trunk pan with one out of a 89 crown victoria, witch is very similar but a couple of inches deeper at that point. I want to know if I can go deeper and still have enough ground clearance. The differential is approximately 7 inches off the ground and the trailing arms under the rear springs are about 6 inches. If you can get me the measurement I'd greatly appreciate it. Please email me @ littledmac@gmail.com or post a comment to my page. Sweet ride by the way. Thanks, Damon

I started a group for us Galaxie owners but haven't had a chance to send invites until now. Check it out and join if you'd like.
