Bought the 2007 Z06 in July 2007. Bone stock originally, I've brought it along to a mild heads, and rowdy cam car throwing down 550/502 on the dyno. Car has coil overs, sways, DeWitt's radiator, and brake mods (spindle ducts, SS lines, etc.), so I now have the car pretty well prepped for 3 to 5 HPDE's per year.
Below the '07 is my old 2003 Quicksilver Z06 Corvette. I located the car sitting on a Ford! dealer's lot in Chicago. Bought it with 4800 miles on the clock. It now has just a little under 16k on the clock (June 2006).
6/20/06 update:
Had an ATI D1SC Stage 2 kit installed, along with a full fuel system upgrade (BAP, lines, rails, regulator, fittings, etc.), alky injection (SMC), and a RAM twin disc clutch.
The car threw down 571/510, with a very conservative tune. Thanks to the alcohol injection, the car's timing could be advanced (max 18 degrees) without KR creeping in. Without alcohol it would have had to be detuned to just under 500 rwhp. Definitely worth the $500!!
Still ironing out some issues, no 1/4 times yet.
Janurary 2006 news:
The car has now been lowered (most recent pics on top), but not all the way on the stock ride height adjusters. 1st set of mods put on were a VRB2 Vararam, Dynatech longtubes, X, and high flow cats, and a dyno tune at that point. Threw down 374 rwhp tuned very conservatively.
Previous owner added the Eradispeed rotors.
The car was still a little quiet for my tastes so I added a Borla Stinger cat-back, and an air bridge. Have not had it dyno'd since then.
Next up is a Shaner S2 TB, and then Ill probably play with it like that for a while before moving on to the C6 Z06 in a year or two.
Car has run a 12.48 at 115.3 with a 2.0 60 foot (stock F1s)
The stickers seen in some of the pictures (Grand Sport stripes, and Baer Eradispeed stickers beneath the Z06 emblems) have now come off of the car. Previous owner put them on, and I didnt care for them.
