240 Turbo Volvo
My 1989 Volvo 240 Wagon started its life as an humble 240 NA. I purchased it for $10,000 back in 1997 when it had only 98,000 miles.
After college I started to learn more about cars and have since added a turbo, new suspension and other styling mods.

I was most excited about my set of Virgo Rims, I always wanted those and got them for $30 each at the junk yard. It took about three months worth of searching, but it was worth it. Along the way I found a set of TME lowering springs, Bilistine shocks, IPD sway bars and chassis braces. It's a shame to see people junk their performance mods, but it made me happy.
As for styling, I scraped of the pin striping and wheel well trim. Here's what I did to the front grill:

Please don't give me too much crap for de-labeling the Volvo. I feel the 240 has enough style to be recognized with out emblems.
And of course here is my turbo.
Please notice my beautiful welding job. I promise I'm getting better. I've also replaced the first muffler with a piece of straight pipe.
My current project is an electric coolant pump to circulate coolant after the car is shut off. They do this on the Audi turbos and I liked the idea. I already have the electric fan so now it's just a matter of wiring up a thermostat.
I've wired together a few pressure switches. One from McMaster car that's adjustable, one from a 240 turbo non-IC and one from a 740 turbo with IC. Those switches are set at 7 and 10 psi. I have them connected to lights now, but future plans are for water injection control.
I was looking at an extra throttle body and noticed it had a hole in the top that looked about the same size as a fuel injector. I drilled the hole through with a 1/2" bit and the fuel injector fits perfectly. I think this is a perfect loaction for water injection.

I'm very stoked, I just got my new IPD turbo cam installed last night along with adjustable cam gear. I cut a hole in the cam cover to access the adjustment bolts. Also painted the valve cover and touched up the "VOLVO" with some chrome paint.

Here's the new racing seat I installed in my Dad's 850. It's much ligher than the stock seats and provides a better view of the road.
