Before I got rid of her and my other camry (I had too many cars by this stage - i.e. 2 x sv21's, 1 x ra65xt celica, 1 x st185r gt4 celica, 1 x '01 hyundai coupe) I did however start to create a body kit for it;

Post a comment or send an email if you are interested in this body kit.

Before the body kit came along it looked like this;

(All the following pics are before June 2004 and go back to early 1998)

Suspension: Was a complete re-bushed Nolathane Front End with Koni Struts and Custom 1 & 3/4" Lowered King Springs and 27mm Front Sway Bar with custom Strut Tower Brace (Bonnet Pins are needed 'cause the strut tower brace pushes the bonnet up at the tip at speeds over 120Kph) and Custom Camber & Caster Adjust. Complete Re-Bushed Nolathane Rear End with Koni Struts and Custom 1 3/4 " Lowered King Springs and 19mm Custom Rear Swar Bar and Solid Sway Bar Links. Nolathane bushed steering rack mounts and custom re-manufactured steering column. New lower ball joints and tie rod ends every 24 months of it's life.
This girl was SOLID on the road - she was fun.

Engine: 2ltr 3S-FE Engine had Toyota Forged Pistons, Forged Connecting Rods and Forged Crank with re-built (ported & polished) head with slight re-ground cams and a copper head gasket. Modified oil pump, modified water pump, TRD Cam Timing Belt. Heavy Duty clutch with lightened flywheel, modified CV Shafts, hand cut Mitsubishi Pajero brake pads.

Custom Intake Mods, Pickled and Polished Stock Plenum, Modified Throttle Body, Toyota 3SGE Exhaust Header with Oxygen Sensor connected to a Custom ExhaustGasOxygen Display, Crank Vent to Atmosphere. 2 & 1/2" Custom Stainless Exhaust System with High Flow Catalytic. Custom Engine Computer Mods & Sensor Mods, Brand New then modified Air Flow Meter.

Interior:
Custom colour coded interior mods. Wooden Sparco steering wheel, Sparco Pedals and Custom Shift Bar on shortened shifter.

Also I had a diagnostic mode switch "in-dash" for quick retrieval of engine error codes from the ECU. With In-dash ExhaustGasOxygen Gauge and sensor mod control switches.

Sound:
Clarion single DIN head unit. Acoustic 6 Channel Electronic Crossover with Remote Sub Control.
4 x Sony Explode 6" Door Speakers cut by exectronic crossover to stop at low mid bass on one 4 channel MTX amp. 2 x Kicker Impulse 6" Rear Parcel Shelf 3ways on a 2 channel MTX amp. 1 x 10" MTX Road Thunder sub in MTX ported box. 1 x 12" MTX Road Thunder sub in MTX ported box.
Security: Clarion Keyless Entry Security System (with central locking + trunk release)
Ages ago I bought a couple of 3S-FE Engines from wreckers which I scavenged/used for spares which I moderately re-built before putting it in the Camry. The second head had been re-built for excellent flow and long life with slainless 3 angle valves and tougher valve springs.
All the repairing, modifying and engineering labour spent by me on this car never went to waste as it's all part of the learning process and the knowledge has been re-used on many other vehicles since.
