This is an original 67 Olds that currently has only 75,000 miles on it, and it has the original white lacquer paint. The back seat material is original and in perfect condition. It has a 425c.i. V8 with ultra high compression(10.25:1). The original stock specs are 365 horsepower and 470 ft lbs. of torque from the factory. It likes 104 octane booster, will break the tires loose at 25mph if you put the octane booster in. . Eventually I will do a complete rebuild on the engine. It has a lot of potential up to 470hp and 600 ft lbs of torque! I have some edelbrock heads and intake manifold, just need the bigger cam, timing chain, lifters, rocker arms, bearings.
I've put in autometer guages under the dash water temp., oil, and volts. I've also put in a Sony cdplayer and x-plod speakers in the front, and pioneer XS-1200 in the back. It sounds better than the original 1 speaker am radio!
Update 1/05 I just changed the alternator because the bearings were gone. Plus I got a bigger battery 850 cranking amps, so it starts much faster.
Update 2/05 Currently looking for a dual exhaust "S" manifold so I can put dual exhaust on the car to give it 20 more hp, and will sound better.
Update4/05 Currently going through my brake system, its all drums so I had custom semi-metallic lining made, and replaced all the wheel cylinders and fluid, also the springs that were worn. Its going to stop much better now!
Update 7/05 The brakes work great stops better now. I just replaced the worn hood bumpers and adjusted them so the hood is flush with the fender. I am also putting in a new windshield washer tank and pump as both needed to be replaced.
Update 6/06 Changed speedometer cable finally broke at 70,000 miles, also put new red battery lead on as old one was cracked. Installed a K& N air filter which breathes better. Also plan to install new KYB gas shocks and put new weatherstripping in, also a dual exhaust system. Have the special "S" manifold now.
Update 4/08 Got a dual exhaust on it now , awesome tone and performance will smoke the tires easily now, 2.5 inch system with h pipe.
