Old Evo 3 setup

Heres my Ex Turbo. I left this page for those that upgrade to this excellent turbo. Lots of potential in this turbo. I had the pleasure of enjoying it.

TranTla's 1998 Eagle TalonThis is the wrapping of the Evo III 16G turbine housing. Since it runs so cose to the water pipe, I wanted to help shield the heat. The water pipe is also shielded with heat shield tape.
TranTla's 1998 Eagle Talon Heres the Turbo setup. I coated the wrapping with a wrap paint to further protect and enhance the appearance.

TranTla's 1998 Eagle TalonHeres the custom porting I did to the turbine housing. I ported away at the wastegate area to eliminate boost creep. This form of porting eliminated 100% boost creep.
TranTla's 1998 Eagle Talon I also ported outside the wastegate door. The Evo 16G turbocharger has a step that causes turbulance (In my opinion). Its like a small cavern. I completely removed the step and smoothed out the curve to have the wastegate flow smoothly exit the turbine housing and into the O2 housing wastegate runner. Because I removed this step, I also had to port match the gasket.
TranTla's 1998 Eagle TalonThis is the porting of the O2 housing. Also to eliminate boost creep, I opened up/enlarged the wastegate runner for more flow. On the left pic, the red is the marking I made to use as a guide for the amount of material I had to remove.

Good work on your documentation of your Talon build.. And I'm not suprised that you had to swap out the engine. Also, the engine bay looked SWEET!
