14,450 miles later....

The transmission ripped third gear teeth off so now its down again. Sent back to TRE to get a refresher.....

The intermediate shaft and input shaft suffered from the mishap. The case was also destroyed, made a big crack and I had to replace the bellhousing portion of the case.

For the curious....Heres some pics of the clutch. You can see that after countless launches and my 11 second run, it still looks great. This will be reused until next summer.

Notice how good it looks even after 14K miles. I did not clean this up for the pics. This is exactly how it looked upon removal. Clean.

Notice the thickness of the custom disk. Still has good life left. You also see the ACT 2100 PP. I love this disk and I will replace it with the same one. Has really good torque holding capabilities.

Once again TRE did a great job.  Heres the pictures. First the Spider gears. They were shot peened for strength along with the housing. Everything inside was shot peened for strength.

Heres the transmission ready for install. Equiped now with Evo 3 short ratio gearing.

Good work on your documentation of your Talon build.. And I'm not suprised that you had to swap out the engine. Also, the engine bay looked SWEET!
