2004 DODGE SRT-4. 230HP. 250lb/ft. 0-60 in 5.3, and the 1/4 rushes by at 13.9 seconds at 101MPH (Car and Driver).
Bright Silver Metallic. Viper-style seats. Sunroof. $28650 MSRP (Canadian)
Dual exhausts. No mufflers. The neighbors don't like it. I do :D
I got tired of walking by, and driving by this SRT every day on the way to work. So, I decided to trade in my 2002 Honda Civic Si Coupe for her.
DELIVERY --------------
At around 11 am on the 13th, we finally decided to sign on the dotted. I put my pen to paper, and after two leases, and one used car I "officially" owned my first new car. The SRT was taken from her "home" on the lot and backed into the dealership to be cleaned up and readied for our delivery that afternoon.
I took these pics with my Palm Zire71, as I completely forgot about the digital camera sitting at work. Besides... I was too damned excited to be driving all over to get a camera. This was my first view of *my* SRT wearing plates.
The SRT was wearing a new coat of wax, and sparked like a jewel under the shop's lights.
They backed the Civic up to the front doors as it began to rain lightly (it always rains here). We transferred my minimal amount of car junk over, CDs, glove box stuff... trunk crap... etc.
The last view of the Civic with her keys still hanging from my belt. After this, I handed over the FOB, key and manuals for the Honda. 86000kms on the blue beast, and a whole lot of memories. Broke that Civic in by driving it from Calgary to Vancouver and back the second week I had her (November 2001). Drove through 5 inches of snow on one of the passes. Had snow coming over the hood. Drove lots of friends around in her. Went everywhere in that Civic. My son learned how to "vroooom!" in that car. Sometimes I think he got more excited to see the Civic than me ;)
Hard to read this, but the odometer says "34". We went on a test drive of the SRT back in January, and the owner of the dealership and myself were the only two to drive her - we put 15 kms on her that afternoon. We picked the SRT up with 23kms on the odo.
