10-26-05 Bit of good News/Bad News, Badnews I took my car out again...And i think when i did that transmission swap awhile back, There must of been a stall converter in there, Because i took my car out and i pulled the stall about 1300-1500 and i released the break and I friking burned rubber all the way down till i released it cause my spedometer said 70 and i wasnt moving but 15mph and almost over revved, I tryed again but the same out come, so i finnaly found out how to do burn out without power breaking. GOODNEWS (long story short) I met this guy with a 66 Chevelle SS (fully restored) with a non number matching 454 in it 500hp+ he says hell give me his 10 bolt posi rearend when he gets his 12 bolt in, SO YES im guessing that thing has some 3.73+ in there so Itll be nice. Im gonna go hang out with him at a muscle car get together Saturday!

10-23-05 Ran a 14.40 Yesterday with 0-60 5.77, Im launching off at about 1000rpm im giving it a little bit of a stall,

10-13-05 I just found out that the carb jets were too small so it wasnt giving the engine enough fuel. I had 64 or 68 size jets int he carb and he replaced them with 74's (My car year hehe) It runs better but when i stomp on it it keeps running but i can still feel very little hesitation in it but nothing tooo noticable, I got my specs on my cam and its a 272 Advertised duration (this is a daily driver remember) so its a good cam for the street but good enough to get me some good performance. Im still looking for a rear-end for my poor one legged car it needs some help pushing on that horsepower. But man once i get 3.73's Posi this sucker will FLYYYYY off the line :) then ill drop a stall in it and WAMMMOO 13's here i COME! but anyway! thought id fill you in. BTW my car exauhst makes weird noises anyone knows what it is, Like at a idle (im running straight pipes) i can hear a smack (like somone smacking there inside of there mouth with there tounge you know like a water droplet) i hear it off and on anyone know what it is (fouling plug maybe?) need some input plz!

10-10-05 took my car out after i got the gasket in, I pulled off a 14.5 @98 again and a better 0-60 in 5.98 seconds (have tire spin at the start), Not not what i expected but its better than before + you also have to remember this is a pro meter not a actual drag strip, But im sure the numbers are close whether it be add or subtract a few and this is a automatic so im launching at 800 rpm. Im really dissapointed but once i get my rear end, ill be be able to tear it up. My car can go at a roll but getting off the line is a killer, Im still shooting for low 13's/high 12's. I will need to get a rear end/stall/roller rockers/underdrive pulleys and i think ill be able to smak a nice high 12 then ill be happy and that's where it will stay. More will be updated soon

10-07-05 Got my car back and OMG!!!! I never relized how much better is was capable of running/sounding It sounds so fucking mean than when i pull up next to a stop light it Rocks and back in forth back in forth sounds so damn mean. It runs like a damn banshee and i havent punched it yet because i need a gasket for my DIST. so i dont knock it outa time. The guys readjusted the time (said it was way off) and had to replace alot of components on the carb because he said they were bad, It runs so much better and drives so much smoother but has a lope to it like it has a 897568975489765798lift cam ;p. I had 2 people the same day ask me "what kinda cam you got in it" I cant wait to get the distb. gasket on and run it down the 1/4 mile Im defiently gonna get way better times im guessing high 13's very low 14's cause ill spin my "ONE" tire the whole way down.. 10-06-05 I took my car to a Carb shop to get fixed, I was reccomened cause i heard he was the best in town (hes a drag racer who does carb work) he supposelt soo good that he can turn a stock quadrajet and make it better than aftermarket holleys, demons, edelbrocks, etc(i want to buy one and give it to him)anyway He called me up and was asking how to put the keys in the ignition cause he said they didnt work, i tryed to explain, then he called back saying that someone else had taken my keys and somehwo were able to work on his car (LOL) so I had his keys but only his door keys worked on my car and he had my keys and my igntion key worked for his, they told me it was a mistake and would get fixed, Im not worried accidents happen and its a simple mistake im just anxious to get my baby outa there so i can run a few 1/4 miles without her dying on me :).

10-03-05 I Finnaly got my G-tech prometer in that measures ur 0-60/1/4 mile and other cool stuff. Plugs right into your ciggarete lighter! Now i Ran a pretty hard time but you have to remeber what promblems im having/No posi/2.73 Rear/Automatic Minus Stall Converter (so im launching at 800 RPM)and an unhealthy engine at the moment! I ran a 0-60 6.03sec and a 14.6 at 98MPH I see that being pretty good for fucked up timing/carberator and a shitty ass drive train. Im kinda proud but i need to get this car off the line a little better. When i get this car outa the shop ill do another run and im guessing a 14.2-14.1 Time. Then when i get a 3.73 Rear End/Posi and a stall converter im guessing ill dip well into the mid/low 13's

10-01-05 Ive been having Major promblems on my carb again, Keeps flooding my engine, My timing is way off ever since i put This new 50k Distributer in. Im really getting frustrated! Wednsday Im taking my car into a shop and im gonna let him fix this car! It is flooding and dying after i stomp on it, My carb is getting stuck closed so the car dies. And theres misses out the ass. i mean literally the car friking dies or hesitates to where it almosts dies. My tachometer is completley fucked up ever since i put the new distb. In. It says my redline is 6000 and when im barely driving it says im taching up around 2500, and it keeps moving up and down when im cruising at a staedy drive on the highway! I think it has something to do with the timing.
