Golikety's 1970 Dodge Challenger fredericksburg, VA Customized with Hooker Header, Holley Intake, Hurst Shift Knob, MSD Ignition - 1 Sup y'all? This lil spot is dedicated to a troublesome yet beautiful car. 1970 Dodge Challenger. My father has had it since 1973 and has more or less passed it down to me. Very lucky!

I still need to get some better pics of her, these were taken over 4 years ago.

This car started off as a 1970 Challenger R/T with the Magnum 383. Also has a 4 speed transmission with Hurst Pistol grip shifter. About 3 years ago we replaced all of the front suspension. Took quite a bit of work, me and my dad do everything by ourselves, if we can. When we started her up she blew a rod bearing. Damn.

We looked around for a bit and got a 400 big block from a junk yard. Bored it out 60 over, new heads and pistons, a Purple Shaft Cam, and basically rebuilt it from the ground up. Our goal is to eventually stroke it up to a 440 and put a 6 Pack on it. 3.23 rear end with Posi Trac to finish it off(3.93 is sitting in the garage, damn you gas prices!). The original tranny gave out 6 months ago, so we ripped it apart on my mom's dining room table(didn't like that too much), bought a rebuilt kit - and now she runs better than ever.

Right now she is sitting on Slotted Mags, 14's in the front and 15's in the rear. Air shocks in the back to give it a slight rise.
