the latest pictures were taken after a drive to neigboring Sedgwick county to check out a '58 4-door hardtop for sale. The price was $3000 OBO. It turns out the car is in better shape than we thought and has a 348 in it! You can see the bugs from the trip in several of the pictures:
This is a 1958 Chevrolet Delray 2 Dr. sedan with low milage (54994 original miles) and a three speed 235 ci inline-6 Blue Flame. A work in proccess but plans include dual exaust, twin carbs and a touch-down overdrive transmission. The exterior is blue but needs repainted, the inside is gunmetal on silver and it all sits on 14 inch Corvette Rally wheels. We added a socket behind the inboard parkimg lenses because they were fakes on all '58 chevys.
Work finished on the car so far includes: oil filter, new air cleaner to replace the clunky stock oil bath cleaner, blue dots, parking lights, some of the dash trim, radio, master cilinder, one out of four wheel cylinder kits, and we plan to eventually to put on chrome valve and side covers, 4 new shocks, the other three wheel cylinder kits and springs and maybe the fenton dual exaust headers and edelbrock double intake.
