Page 2: Family Trucks
The truck is really a GMC Sprint which is the GM version of an El Camino. It is on a K5 Blazer frame, with stock suspension. It has a 350ci with a TH350 tranny and a New Process 203 chain drive transfer case with Mile Marker's part time four wheel drive kit, Warn lock out hubs. It has 33" BFGoodrich All-Terrains on 15x10 Centerline Convo Pros. It has RJS Racing harnesses, vinyl seats, vinyl floor mat, stainless steel floor pans (got tired of the road signs and cardboard), Walmart Special Pioneer CD player and two 6x9's. Used to have red neons under the truck, seats, dash but they either broke or shorted out from four wheeling so they got taken off. Other doodads are chrome skull 4x4 shifter, and a deer skull on the front bumper.
Tearing up the Outer Banks!
Swamp Thing parked beside my sister's "Danger Ranger" at the local mud bog.
Swamp Thing covered in mud from the "Thinkin' Hole"!
Plans for a brushguard and an exo cage!
Took a break from building the exo so we tested the flex on a stump in the front yard.
Me, and my buddies Matt, and Paul!
Pictures of the truck with the finished exo cage that I made to keep stuff from denting my body panels when I go wheeling. I think it gives it the MAD MAX look!
The finished brushguard that I made out of 2.5" steel tubing. It has a built in 2" receiver for a portable winch mount, and attachment points for recovery purposes. Weighs about 200 lbs. but it is built to take on a tank!
Rear bumper is attached to the frame in 7 places. My Mom in the background wondering why I am parking on a stump in the front yard!
El Camino Monster Trucks, my inspiration for the project!
