Rabbit L project - 1980 or 1981?
From Buenos Aires - Argentina

This is one of the few Rabbits that exists in Argentina. It is very difficult to find information, accesories or autoparts around here...so i?m gonna need help!

First of all I don?t know if this is a 1980 or 1981 model. My father bought it in 1986 and it?s registered as a 1981 but as far as i know the 1981 models have a 1.7 motor and this one has a 1.6 motor.

I?m starting the work..at least 30 days for finish painting and repairs.

Thats an '80. If fact, it is exactly the same model rabbit that I own. You are quite correct when you say that the 1.6 is only on the '80 and 1.7 is on the '81. Unless the engine has been swapped, this is an '80. Great work you're doing by the way. Very clean.
