Page 1: My Rides!

*The Low Down*
This is my 1972 Ford Gran Torino Sport It's blue with the 351C 4V Engine and blue interior, I received it November 2003 from my grandfather who passed away Nov. 23, 2003. Almost everything is completely original and it has 89,000 actual and original miles, but that is set to change.

*What I'm gonna do to it*

Future upgrades:
I have been looking at some rims here lately just checking out what's on the market for a good price.

I've been tinkering with PAINT for a while and i'm trying to decide if i want sport wheels, or "nearly" drag, not quite like these but i DO want the car so "SIT" just like this:

*Exterior*
The only exterior damage is a VERY small rust spot on the passenger door, barely noticed in the pic on the right...right at the CORNER...paint is faded but, hey...it's been sitting for 15 years...that's what weather will do to a car...

I also took out the grill, took off the license plate on the front, quickly repainted the grill and it's surrounding piece.

*ALREADY FIXED*

The driver side door handle on the driver side has been fixed.

I have a new steering wheel pad and horn and steering assembly installed.

The chrome eyelids have been finally fixed along with new headlight assembly.

New Exhaust Flowmaster with turndown, this is actually going to change after I put headers on the car.

I've installed some new battery cables, lights and sockets for entire car, fixed the gauge display.

Re-installed the seats and a brand new molded carpet with dynomat.

Installed new radiator, fixed the radiator support frame.

Bought some new blue vinyl for the rear window board and that has been fixed.

Bought a full engine dress up kit, replaced and refinished the emblem on the trunk.

The new intake manifold and carburetor and air cleaner have been completely installed and finished.

The car is back running again as we fixed the head gasket and it is running like new again.

I also scrubbed...went through 3 brillo pads cleaning the bumper...check it out, besides the lil places where it's pitted at the bottom, def. an improvement!

*Interior*

Chris72ForU's 1972 Ford TorinoSeats ARE ORIGINAL!
The only real problems with the interior are the small cracks in the dash cover, which is easily fixed with a lil cash and a trip to the Dear Born Classics Website.

Updated:
The Carpet has been installed with full dynomat coverage underneath; i'll update soon with pics.

The roof of the interior is spotless and like new, some of the chrome trim is in need of some attention but it's not really noticable.  A new Kenwood hidden CD player with IPOD hookup is being installed, as well as 6" door speakers, 6 x 9" rear speakers.

Took out the grill (for painting), and the headlight bezels. Soon the front will be taken completely off so we can fix/weld some metal where rust has eaten the radiator support.

Original spare tire is in the trunk.

My first step to my reconstruction of the car, new parts include and installed are Gasline, Distributor cap, Rotor Button, plug wires, plugs, new points, valve cover gaskets and reconditioned valve covers(OLD FORD BLUE), new vacuum lines, oil filter and change, I've raised the rear end up 2 1/4 inches with some spring boosters which will be replaced with new springs soon.

I think the stock rallys always looked the best to me.I once had one in yellow I wish I had never gotten rid of it(My sister needed a car & it needed a water pump so I gave it to her). Blue in this shade is really cool.
