Yes this is Factory AWD and Turbo. Real All-Trac, one of 1700 ever imported (from 1990-1993)- that's approx 34 per state EVER to reach the US! It took me 8 years to find one in decent shape and decent price range and then two years to drop a new motor in and get her all perfect. I hope you like it. A lot of time energy and money went into this car.

UPDATE 10/21/08

She is done! I have a few minor toys to install like my HKS twin power ignition amplifier and my HKS FCD and my Greddy Catch can but eh it's always an ongowing project with cars right? She is running great and handles like a dream! It's taken me well over a year but it was definately worth it! If curious she is CT20B powered now running like a dream at 12psi (for the moment-more boost to come) :)

UPDATE 10/10/08

It's ALIVE!!! AH HA HA HA HA! repined the jdm plugs after amputatiing all of the hacked wireds from the USDM harness- Put the newly fixed usdm harness back in the alltrac and voila! She runs beautiful! In idle I hit 10psi @ 7000rpms- when that ssqv went off I thought I was going to loose it! she still smokes for the moment, but this week the ct20b goes in so that will take care of that! I drove her around the block with my girlfriend and it puts you back in your seat. Damn it was a great feeling. I haven't stopped smiling since. FINALLY I can put the interior back together and get her on the road! I'll post some more completeld pics up after the ct20b is in. I may also buy a greddy e-manage for a couple hundred dollars complete with all the optional sensors, etc.

Update 02/18/08

I realized I haven't updated this in a while.... been very busy at work. I have a few little pieces of information to share. Did a compression test a few weeks ago and I hit 175 clean across the board- so that's pretty perfect. Also the plugs don'e have any oil on them so that means that my smoking problem is in fact the turbo. Little bitter Sweet to know what the problem it now- but to know at the same time that rebuilding isn't cheap. Tossing around the idea of a ATS CT27 or a CT20B.... The idle issue I may finally have figured out the solution to. I'm thinking it may be either my Injector resistor packs or my ignition coil (I thought I had replaced that, and turns out I didn't) so hopefully in the next couple of days I'll have a joyous update on that.

Pictures say a thousand words. Baby is pissed. I think my exhaust side turbo oil seal is toast. and I have a brake line leaking and my new battery is leaking and she doesn't rev worth a crap- hit's 3200 then cut's then 3200 then cut's etc... In other news I have 550cc injectors on the way. :)

One of four problems finished. I have reverse lights- tranny switch needed replaced. Also I went ahead an put all the body components back on. She definately needs a bath soon...

The motor is finished up. Some completed pictures. All that remains are some electrical problems... that I'm not having very good luck solving. Body panels and bumper will go back on this weekend. So then I should have some pics of what she actually looks like.

A bit of a bitter sweet update here. She idles like a kitten (a big mean kitten, but a kitten) we had an uncapped vac line that went to the ac idle up control.....duh. However while trying to figure out why my temp gauge and tach and climate controls and reverse lights wouldn't work I discovered that the ecu wire harness needs to be repaired... as well as some ignition wires and so kick panel connections....oh boy.

She Runs! Not well, seeing as I have the wrong O2 sensor on her. Right now as you can tell she is running very rich and stalling out, but I should have the correct O2 sensor on her by next weekend and then she should be running pretty. Also She is dumping straight to atmosphere in Pre Cat, so She won't be that loud when finished. Here are some videos via Streetfire.net

Well she is almost done. I have to drain the old fuel, hook up some connections and get the intake/AFM installed and the alternator and she will be ready to fire up. Some current pictures; more of course on page 2.

A few pics on page 2 from yesterdays progress. Made a bracket for the RHD steering dust cover to work with LHD. Got the brakes all hooked up (mmmmm....stainless red brake lines...) and bled, so I can stop now. The previous owner broke off one of the ABS inserts on the drivers side wheel and it took a LONG time with a lot of "precision hammering" to get it out and then some good dremmeling to get the tube clean to get the new one in.... Got the accelerator and throttle cable installed- NEVER, NEVER, NEVER take that pedel off! Got the front swaybar installed. The Tie Rods were installed. The windshield wipers and motor were installed. There were other things but I can't remember them right now. Whatever else, the motor is ready to go in. Whooo Hoooo

A lot of progress was made in the last few days. Firewall buildup is moving along nicely and the FMIC is mounted up. I still have some brake issues to work on and a few other minor things and then the motor will be ready to mount in! Pictures are on page 2

Update 9/12/07
My 3" Dump pipe and 3" Flex Pipe came in the other day. The Dump pipe looks pretty good on there. Also spent some time cleaning the cool side of the turbo. Not gonna mess with the exhaust side. So now, besides a few minor things- this is how the motor is gonna look. It looks more *Bling* than it is- the flash on the camera set off the sparkle.

Update 7/02/07
Decided to paint the valve cover and the stock exhaust manifold cover (the cutout is for the Exhaust gas temperature probe.). It is a matte red so that it won't be competing with the high shine of the paint on the outside of the car. I'm polishing up everything else that is metal in the car; AFM, Intake Manifold, etc...and then I am going to coat them with a dark titanium silver. The FMIC and the IC piping are going to be the same titanium color. And the rims will be powder coated to match

Update 6/30/07
Heater core was replaced today and ac evaporator was removed, and all housing put back together, so the interior is ready to be reassembled as soon as the motor goes in and the wire harness is all connected up. (all I can say is that Toyota must have expected everyone to have some tiny fingers.) Also bought a TRD shift knob, and started work on the flush mount LCD screen- still haven't decided where I am going to put the head unit.

Update with Motor Pics 6/20/07
Half Cut came in the beginning of June (been slowly getting work done.). Intercooler core just arrived and the Bent aluminum 2.5" piping should be along any day. The Half Cut has around 47,000 miles on it and from all accounts so far it is in great shape. Compression test was nice and even and the turbo (jdm Ceramic CT-26) has almost no shaft play at all- just the tiniest hint. Another nicety was that the half cut came with the JDM clear corners. I also replaced the door "System 10" Subs.

This is my new baby 1990 All-Trac, which in case you're not familiar means toyota stock awd+turbo, Only 1,743 were ever imported from 90-93 to the USA. I've been looking for one of these for about eight years, and now my dream is reality. No engine pics yet because she doesn't have an engine. The half cut should be at my house next week on Thursday or Friday- so then the real fun begins. I bought the shell with the GT-FourRC conversion already done so all of the body parts; Hood, bumper, etc are Toyota parts- just the Toyota parts that were made for the special Rally Car (we never got them in the states), I have all of the logos and decals unopened that I will put on after I get the motor in. I also have all brand new interior pieces that I will install once the motor install is over with. Right now the plan is to go very modest with the car. I plan on running ~12psi out of the gate. I will also be removing the ABS, so either getting custom lines or if it ends up being cheaper I'll just keep them and pull the fuse.
