I no longer own this car
------------------------
This car served me well for 12 years.
in September of 2005 I traded it in during the purchase of my new 2006 Cobalt SS Supercharged
CHECK IT OUT HERE
Here is a picture of the 1985 Citation II as it existed before I traded it in (picture taken March 12, 2004).
It has the "W" vin code engine.
original MPFI 2.8l V6.
original 3 speed automatic transmission.
it had surpassed 156,000 miles when I traded it in.
This model also had "CL" badges on the pilars between the front and rear doors. It has the horizontal radio and heater controls and shift lever is on stearing column, and the interior was still in great shape other than years of wear on the driver seat vinyl (cracking due to cold winters etc.) and cloth, all of a darker red than the exterior in these pictures, it was a darker red originally(yeah I know I should have posted some interior pics too).
As you can see it had new 14" aluminum wheels ( AR Touring Series 38 ), they were still on the car last time I saw it driving around too.
In the other pictures of it that are still out on the net, it had the factory wheels (repainted however with some gold). Those factory wheels became the "winter set" with Blizzak snow tires mounted on them for excellent snow&ice driving. I gave that winter set to the new owner of the car as well, so he ended up with a great deal when he got the car.
Here you can see the gold pearl in the paint.
Here is a picture we took right after bringing it out of the garage when paint was complete. This was taken with a polarizer lens to cut the sun glare out, however that revealed otherwise un-noticeable unevenness of the pearl coat which is not visible with naked eye. (film print scanned with flatbed scanner, so color accuracy will differ from newer digital camera pictures)
It was and still is a good car, I have seen it driving around now and then so it is serving it's new owner well.
But I am glad to have moved on to my nice new Arrival Blue 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt SS Supercharged!
