This is a 68 396 0.060 w/forged 11:1 TRWs Forged(10:5:1 final), cast crank, 2-bolt main, shotpeened rods and the rotating assembly is balanced. Comp Cams Custom Hyd. 575I-585E lift,244I-248E dur@0.050. All Erson valvetrain w/rollers. Cast Iron GM big valve(2.19-1.88) oval port heads have minor bowl work w/port match. Performer RPM Air Gap w/ Custom 850DP Holley. Pro Comp Chrome Electric Water Pump, 140amp Alt and a March Serpentine Conversion Kit. Tilton Gear Reduction Race Starter. Hooker 2" Super Comps Headers(coated)w/3" X-Crossover and Flowmasters. MSD 6AL Box, Billet Distributor, SS Blaster Coil, 2-Step & Taylor 409 wires. 400 turbo full race, manual valve body trans w/3500 stall, B&M Pro Stick Shifter, Deep Cast Aluminum Pan. I haven't raced it with this combination.
MSD 6al, 2-Step are mounted to a smoothed firewall I run a 7000 chip. By modifying the heater core, I was able to make the heater box resemble a big block Nova. Since then I have removed the heater hoses but the entire system is still there. Coolflex Hoses to and from the Griffin Rad, 2 16" Electric Fans dool it down.
I have recently built a Brand New 850 Holley(based) Carb, it had an AED Billet Baseplate, AED Billet Metering Blocks, Percy's Adjust-A-Jet, Pro Form Polished Main Body, 50cc Acc Pumps with new lightweight Arms and Circle Track Idle Adjsters . All of the downfalls to a Holley are addressed and improved. Ther is a Tapered Billet 1" Spacer and an Aeromotive Fuel Regulator that is fed from the New Tank and a Black Holley Electric Pump. All of the lines are A/N Stainless or Hard lines, no Rubber.
Griffin 26" Alum rad w/2 16" electric fans(one on each side of rad)and Pro Comp Electric Water Pump. The rad cradle has been opened up to fit the larger rad. The car never goes over 180. Rad cradle and firewall are body coloured and smoothed. Used the Custom Stainless Rad Cover thatwas on the Chevelle a few years ago and shortened it to fit the Nova. Late model polished master cyl. w/line loc. I also added DSE's Rad Cradle Braces (that are for the Camaros) to the Nova.
