Update June 12/09. As I stated on my other 2 cars pages my Father Passed away very suddenly this past October. It was huge shock and we are still trying to get our heads around it. So I will not go on and on but check out my sites and leave a comment, I will try to answer all comments.
This is dedicated to my Dad!
I have been spending alot time lately on the Nova, i built a Brand New 850 Holley with alot trick stuff in it, I have added an Electric Water Pump and a March Serpentine System. A new Fluid Damper and some new Chrome parts. A 2-step and some new gauges also, I will get some new pics as soon as I can. Oh ya, I am taking the Front Brakes from the Chevelle(that I took off) and I also have Tubular Upper & Lower Control arms for it.
1969 Nova
This is my 69 Nova that I have owned since 1985. This was my first car and it was given to me by my dad on my 18th birthday(did not look like this). The car was originally a no optioned 6cyl/2spd. I have done most of the work with some help from family & friends. Now it has a highly modified 396/400TH w/9" rearend. I am not sure how much it has been lowered but I know it is low, it has Weld Draglites and has custom base clear paint(12ys old). There is also a 8-point roll cage and the frame is tied w/solid body mounts and Lakewood traction bars also help the chassis.
Future plans: new paint, mini-tub, stroker big block.

All the chrome was painted(most was new) and a fibreglass lift off 4" Outlaw Cowl hood from Harwood was added to clear the motor. Front tires are Firestone 195/75/15 on 15x5 Welds. Competition Engineering 3way adj. front shocks(set on 90/10) help weight transfer. Front sub frame was removed and sand blasted, solid body mounts were added. The frame is tied with custom round tube connectors and a driveshaft loop. All of this along with the 8-point cage really made a huge difference in the chassis flex.

Slightly narrowed Ford 9" so the 275/60/15 Firestones on 15x8 Welds can sit up in the massaged wheelwells. Rearend has 4:10 w/posi. Gas tank has two #8 feed lines to the Russell filter and Holley Blue pump . Tank also has fuel cell filler in trunk. Power shut off and charging posts are just above the bumper. Full 3" custom exhaust w/X crossover & Flowmaster mufflers with tail pipes terminating just behind the tires. I also have a set of Hoosiers Quick Times for the track, 275/60/15 on 7" steel rims. I really need a set of new slicks as the last time I raced the car it spun through first, best short time 1.90 60ft.

Here are the tires front & rear buried in the wheelwells. The rear is not mini-tubbed so it very tight(might happen in the future to fit a larger tire). The 9" is a 52" unit that is about 1" narrower on each side. Polyurethane bushings in the leaf springs solved the light tire rub. It was alot work to get the tire to fit in the rear but it was worth it. I didn't want the usual rear end in the air Nova. The rims are original Weld Drag Lites and will never go out of style.

These are some pics of both of my cars. This is in my laneway where all of the work takes place.

This is my garage where the cars are kept and worked on.
Please sign my guestbook and tell me what you think. Make sure to check out my Chevelle
