Introducing my 1995 Nissan 200SX SE-R. This car was made on 6/6/1995 and sold 9/6/1995. One owner before me. I bought on Saturday, March 13, 2004. I only paid $2400 for this car. 109k miles only in superb condition. My Father and I are the only ones to work on this baby. The only thing we did not install was the dash lights and the s-afc (we dont mess with electricity)

...what is next?

Progress adjustable rear sway bar, battery relocation to the rear and anything else to stiffen the rear. B14's have terrible, hideous, ugly understeer that can only be addressed by stiffening the rear.

I thank Nissan for the indispensable SR20DE engine and the plethora of aftermarket support to...

Date of Deed - Description of task completed

05/04/04 - Trailer hitch taken off. (don't know why one was there) Modified stock airbox with a new OEM Nissan air filter.
05/15/04
- Spark plugs changed (NGK Double Platinum tips, PFR5G-11), 02 sensor changed.
05/22/04 - Got Maple Grove Raceway time slips.
06/02/04
- K&N Panel air filter put in. (got it for free, new)
06/19/04
- 91' SR20 intake cam installed. The cam allowed much more air into the engine making extra power in the 3800+ rpm range. Pulls much more in 3,4,5 gear. Great install, very easy.
07/05/04
- Put on new Goodyear Eagle GT-HR 205/50-15 tires all around. Very nice tires.   These tires were alright, nothing fancy, good value. They still sell these as of 12/20/2009.
08/27/04
- Sony xplod 3-way speakers installed. sound great.
11/04/04
- Alternator brushes changed, new battery put in. Accesories work better. Can't complain.
12/04/04
- B15 clutch and pressure plate installed for about a 15% better grip. Makes nice chirps in 3rd now. Good deal.
01/31/05
- Prepped the car for Place Racing cold air intake install by removing lower stock air box.
03/04/05
- After waiting to receive a part (MAF adapter plate) for a week, I was ready to install. A friend of mine had helped me do everything prior to final install earlier so this was cake. Took all the old air box stuff out and put the brand new Place Racing cold air intake system in my car. Everything went smoothly and it is a nice addition. The car pulls harder from idle all the way to redline. Overall, worth the $129 paid. Also installed Accel 300+ Thundersport spark plug wires. (120,000 miles)

03/22/05 - First dyno with the things listed above i.e cold air intake and spark plug wires and relatively new spark plugs. 125.24 whp and 119.40 torque. I guess that is good, more things to come...

04/14/05 - Had a friend named Matt help me with the gauge cluster because I needed it to be rewired and electronics and me don't go well together, he did all of it. Very nice guy. (Thanks to Import Intelligence)

04/16/05 - Huge day. KYB AGX's with Hypercoil B14 springs, Koni Bumpstops, ME Rear Shock Mounts, and the ebay short shifter put in by me and my dad. Nothing is better than the satisfaction or putting stuff on your car and knowing that YOU did it. Paying to do mechanical work on your car is no bueno for me. Blood, sweat, and tears do it.

Quality Short Shifter

05/15/05 - Maple Grove High School Challenge. New time of 15.463 in the 1/4 mile at 88.33mph. Very happy with the minimal amount of work done to the engine.

07/09/05 - Exhaust day. I got my VRS hi flo cat and cat back yesterday so I went under the car to rip off the old, beat up, crush bent, rusty pipes from under the SR20's exhaust mouth. Before the sun set, my exhaust was on by 3pm and I was smiling. The exhaust sounds incredible, its deep and great sounding. It looks great and I have no problems with it. (130,000 miles)

07/17/05 - Rotated tires.

My Youtube page with SE-R Exhaust video

09/20/05 - Changed brake pads up front, new CV boot on front right, washed the car. All purdied up now.

03/24/06 - Fixed driver-side rear rotor being stuck. Brakes work better of course. Fixed little things here and there. Miles are at 139,100. Cleaned CAI filter, it was very dirty. Rotated tires.

05/16/06 - New oil pan. Old one rusted out and leaked slightly. No more leaks now.

06/06/06 - New radio unit. Replaced the factory radio with an Apline CDE-9846. Love it. It compliments the sony speakers pretty well.

09/02/06 - New tires. 195/55/15 VR rated tires. BF Goodrich Traction T/A's. These are great tires. Highly recommend them to everyone. They are much better than the Goodyear's I had on before. These tires have been the best I have owned so far. They were my favorite and they do not even make them anymore.

10/15/06 - New rear brake rotors and pads installed. New front pads installed also. New front rotors and pads coming soon.

11/30/06 - LSD in trans. broke apart inside and cracked the trans. case. Now it has a crack in the case and one wheel spins (left side only). I am looking for another one to get her fixed and back onto the road ASAP.

12/08/06 - New Transmission cam in today from NJ. Came out of a 96' SE-R with 76k miles.

12/12/06 - '96 SE-R Transmission installed. New Clutch cable installed. Rotated new tires for first time. The clutch is like butter. Awesome swap and a huge thanks to Al for all the help!

12/13/06 - New passenger front rotor installed. All I have left to replace is the driver side front rotor and i will have news pads and rotors

08/15/07 - Rotated tires, changed oil. Damn she is so clean inside the engine. Looks like it rolled off the factory still!

08/18/07 - 3 new rotors (both fronts and driver-side rear), new driver-side rear caliper, new front brake pads. Flushed, cleaned, refilled, bled entire brake system.

08/28/07 - Installed and tuned S-AFC II. (Thanks to Import Intelligence) Had a makeshift wideband setup clipped to my muffler and gave me a reading through that. Tuned it very nicely, pulls hard all the way from 3500 up. Definitely a much stronger car with its A/F ratio being leaned out a large amount.

12/01/07 - New tires. 205/50-15 BFGoodrich g-Force Sports. These tires are not all-season like I had previously. They were summer tires and did amazing in dry conditions but were worthless in the rain, very poor in any wet or adverse weather conditions. I will never buy these again. It did not deter me from the BFGoodrich name at all, just stressed the fact that I need all-season tires and they need to bring back Traction T/A's in 195/55-15 ASAP.

05/14/08 - Dyno tuned car with S-AFC II, ran over 14 runs and the fourth one netted me my max wheel horsepower of 142.48 and a max torque of 127.37.

^^^ Fixed as of 2/16/2009

02/16/09 - All purdied up. Now I have a reconstructed title and two owners on the entire vehicles life. So lame that my insurance would not fix it and that they forced me to go through the most annoying experience ever with getting my car fixed. I had to BUY BACK my own car before I could go anything. Then after I paid to get it fixed, I had to find a special emissions place that issues a reconstructed title. Cost a lot more money than any inspection I have ever had in my life and took less than half the time. What a joke my insurance put me through for a broken radiator and A/C condensor and some minor body work. The frame was not damaged at all, the radiator support was bent in a little. All in all, I got a new hood, front bumper, left side fender, head lights, corner lights, front grille, radiator support, radiator and a/c condensor fixed/replaced. It's glad to have her back after that ordeal.

02/21/09 - Prothane Motor Mounts installed. Awesome.

06/30/09 - First time synthetic oil graces my car. 181,500 miles. Valvoline max life 5W/30 (red bottle, synthetic blend) put into my car and made it way better. I love this oil.

12/04/09 - Second oil change with Valvoline 5W/30 red quart. 184,700 miles on the odometer.

12/05/09 - Bought some RAIN-X Latitude wipers, very easy to install, I like them very much so.

12/20/09 - Purchased some all-season tires finally. I bought summer times by accident and have had them for over two years. Not installed yet, only purchased.  195/55R-15 Goodyear Eagle GT times four. Going back to stock size and Ultra High-Performance all-weather tires.

12/24/09 - Tires mounted and balanced. (185,000 miles)

12/27/09 - Finally ordered RedlineGoods matching leather shift boot and e-brake boot combo for only $78 shipped!

12/27/09 - Removed Accel Thundersport 300+ Spark Plug wires and replaced with stock ones I had sitting. Cylinder one on the Accel wires metal part disconnected, I could not fix it so I just changed back to stock.

All of these pictures were taken 12/27/2009

01/04/2010 - Got another G20 ECU. Manual this time.

01/13/2010 - Fixed a radiator leak with a nice aircraft hose clamp. No more leaks!

04/21/2010 - Installed K&N RR-3003 High flow air filter.  I notice on my S-AFC II the airflow numbers are higher at idle and the increase in sound, throttle response, and high end is slightly increased.  06/30/2010 - New front (24521) and rear (24024) NGK/NTK oxygen sensors arrive. Christmas in July begins a day early. They even include anti-seize compund and the rear even has the rubber grommet! Paid only $105 shipped!

08/30/2010 - PLMS consult cable arrived. Nissan Datscan 1.4, here I come!

09/08/2010 - New RH lower control arm arrived. New timing chain tensioner with updated design arrived. Waiting for a chance to get on a lift to do a lot of new installs with parts laying around. I need to....

-Replace Passenger side lower control arm (balljoint is shot) DONE!
       -Replace timing chain tensioner DONE!
       -Install new knock sensor
-Install stainless steel PVC coated brake lines

09/18/2010 - Big day today. Passenger side lower control arm replaced, sway bar bushings up front replaced new OEM rubber. Changed the last leaky gasket in the exhaust system with OEM gasket. Changed the oil, oil filter, and timing chain tensioner with the revised one. Cleaned MAF. 195,600 miles.

 viprdudes 1995 Nissan 200SX

10/16/2010 - I took apart and re-built the inner boots and rings and grease. Replaced both boots, re-greased everything and replaced oil seals on both sides of the transaxle. That was, by far, the messiest thing I have done on my car to date. Rebuilt part of the driver's side front brake caliper. I had one slider pin that was hung up by the dust boot being off the respective lip. Cleaned it all up, lubed it with silicone grease and re-assembled.

10/20/2010 - Red Line MT-90 graces the transmission. This is some good tranny oil, smooths and gear engagments are easier, smoother, and more enjoyable than ever! Awesome stuff.

10/28/2010 - EGR temperature sensor changed.

11/06/2010 - Replaced two air blow-by hoses for the crankcase ventilation system. Changed over some old style clamps to the hose clamps.

02/13/2011 - Converted Place Racing CAI to WAI. Better throttle response and low-end performance sacrificed for some top end peak HP. Also a bit louder, but sounds more bad-ass anyway. Cleaned E60 MAF with proper CRC Spray. Applied Rain-X treatment to windshield.

02/16/2011 - Changed oil and oil filter. (201,460 miles)

02/26/2011 - Finally got around to ordering a wideband. I purchased a 14point7 SLC Pure Plus Wideband O2 controller system.

viprdudes 1995 Nissan 200SX     viprdudes 1995 Nissan 200SX

04/22/2011 - Changed oil and oil filter today. (203,900 miles) Cleaned MAF wire.

05/10/2011 - Switched to Shell 93 fuel. It is better than Hess, period. Saw mileage increase and smoother power delivery along with a smoother idle.

05/30/2011 - Cleaned MAF wire.

06/02/2011 - Blew passenger side rear KYB AGX performance shock and it is now leaking oil. New one is ordered and on the way. Not bad for lasting as long as it did and how cheap and effective they were for a terrible rear suspension!

06/16/2011 - Rotated tires. (206,000 miles) They lasted a good bit of time, I guess. Tread began to wear off the fronts so they are sitting in the back now.

07/03/2011 - Cleaned MAF wire. Changed oil to a full synethetic for the first time to Valvoline SynPower Full Synthetic 5w-30 oil and changed the PureONE oil filter. (207,188 miles)

08/07/2011 - Hit over 100,000 miles in which this car and myself have shared. Great timing as it flipped over when I was on the way back home from the Convention!

08/27/2011 - Changed oil (Valvoline SynPower Full Synthetic 5w-30, oil filter (OEM), tossed in a can of RESTORE, cleaned MAF wire. (210,710 miles)

08/30/2011 - New tire mounted and balanced. 195/55-15 Michelin Pilot Exalta A/S. (210,800 miles)

09/02/2011 - Changed spark plugs with same ones. BKR6E (211,000 miles)

09/30/2011 - Took out JWT ECU and put back in P10 ECU. Also swapped out E60 MAF for stock MAF and using settings from tune back in 2008.

11/03/2011 - Changed out rear shock mounts to Loco Performance versions. No more squeaks! Motivational Mounts began to elongate and make horrible noises and a very unsettled suspension. Thank you Loren! Changed oil and oil filter and tossed in a can of RESTORE. (214,000 miles)

11/11/2011 - Reverted back to OEM gauges. New bulbs in gauge cluster, dome light, trunk light replaced.

11/20/2011 - Replaced the rear brake and turn signal light bulbs with new #1157 and #1156 replacements. Ordered Philips 9004 Night Guide headlight bulbs for upcoming winter.
11/26/2011 -NISMO aka JWT S3 cams swapped in for BC Stage II cams (260* duration, 0.442" lift). Philips Night Guide 9004 bulbs installed in OEM headlights.

1/1/2012 - Changed oil and oil filter, cleaned MAF. (215,610 miles) Mobil 1 High Mileage 5w/30 Synthetic API Grade SL.

2/11/2012 - Replaced battery.
