Introducing my 1995 Nissan 200SX SE-R. Bought on Saturday, March 13, 2004. I only paid $2400 for this car. 110k miles only in superb condition. My Father and I are the only ones to work on this baby. The only thing we did not install was the dash lights and the s-afc (we dont mess with electricity)

Here are the pictures now, enjoy.

Current:
-Place Racing CAI (high end power)
-'91 SR20 intake cam (more high end power)
-Accel Thundersport 300+ Spark Plug wires (nice, inside lights are bright)
-KYB AGX Struts (4 way adjustable front and 8 way rear)
-Hyperco B14 SR20forum springs (300lbs/in front and 250lbs/in rear)
-Koni Bumpstops (can never notice bottoming out)
-Motivational Rear Shock Mounts (extra inch in rear travel)
-Reverse glow SE-R gauges (nice look, good glowin in blue)
-eBay short shifter (very short, precise shifts)
-G20 ECU (no speed govern, rev limit to 7500)
-Weapon R header (nice shine, good sound, good quality, great piece)
-VRS Custom made 2.5 hi flow cat with o2 bung, and their famous mandrel bend 2.5" cat back with 20" resonator with 4" magnaflow muffler body. (great sound, all around power went up)3

-Apexi S-AFC II (makes my car like a banshee, pulls very hard now)

-Prothane Motor Mounts (AMAZING, stiffened the whole front up, little extra vibration, but worth the results)

Waiting...
...what is next?

After I install the above, I will save up for some JWT cams to take full advantage of the 2.5" exhaust. Thank Nissan for the indispensable SR20DE engine and the plethora of aftermarket support.

Thanks for steve for that awesome photoshop job. I need to get a new one.

(110,667)<-after first thousand

Stuff done:
05/04/04 - Trailer hitch taken off. (don't know why one was there) Modified stock airbox with a new OEM Nissan air filter.
05/15/04 - Spark plugs changed (NGK Platinum tips), 02 sensor changed.
05/22/04 - Got Maple Grove Raceway time slips.
06/02/04 - K&N Filter put in. (got it for free, new)
**06/19/04 - 91' SR20 intake cam installed. The cam allowed much more air into the engine making extra power in the 3800+ rpm range. Pulls much more in 3,4,5 gear. Great install, very easy.
*07/05/04 - Put on new Goodyear Eagle GT-HR 205/50-15 tires all around. Very nice tires. Highly recommend.
08/27/04 - Sony xplod 3-way speakers installed. sound great.
11/04/04 - Alternator brushes changed, new battery put in. Accesories work better. Can't complain.
*12/04/04 - 2001 Sentra SE clutch installed for about a 15% better grip. Makes nice chirps in 3rd now. Good deal.
01/31/05 - Prepped the car for Place Racing cold air intake install by removing lower stock air box.
**03/04/05 - After waiting to receive a part (MAF adapter plate) for a week, I was ready to install. A friend of mine had helped me do everything prior to final install earlier so this was cake. Took all the old air box stuff out and put the brand new Place Racing cold air intake system in my car. Everything went smoothly and it is a nice addition. The car pulls harder from idle all the way to redline. Overall, worth the $129 paid.
04/14/05 - Had a friend help me with the gauge cluster because I needed it to be rewired and electronics and me don't go well together, he did all of it. Very nice guy.

04/16/05 - Huge day. KYB AGX's with Hypercoil B14 springs, Koni Bumpstops, ME Rear Shock Mounts, and the ebay short shifter put in by me and my dad. Nothing is better than the satisfaction or putting stuff on your car and knowing that YOU did it. Paying to do mechanical work on your car is gay.

Before and After

Before and After

Quality Short Shifter

05/15/05 - Maple Grove High School Challenge. New time of 15.463 in the 1/4 mile at 88.33mph. Very happy with the minimal amount of mods done to the engine.

07/09/05 - Exhaust day. I got my VRS hi flo cat and cat back yesterday so I went under the car to rip off the old, beat up, crush bent, rusty pipes from under the SR20's exhaust mouth. Before the sun set, my exhaust was on by 3pm and I was smiling. The exhaust sounds incredible, its deep and great sounding. It looks great and I have no problems with it.

More pics now of the header and exhaust tip.

07/17/05 - Rotated tires, put timing back to 15*, made idle a little bit higher and thats all.

My Youtube page with SE-R Exhaust video

09/20/05 - Changed brake pads up front, new CV boot on front right, washed the car. All purdied up now.

03/24/06 - Fixed driver-side rear rotor being stuck. Brakes work better of course. Fixed little things here and there. Miles are at 139,100. Cleaned CAI filter, it was very dirty. Rotated tires.

05/16/06 - New oil pan. Old one rusted out and leaked slightly. No more leaks now.

06/06/06 - New radio unit. Replaced the factory radio with an Apline CDE-9846. Love it. It compliments the sony speakers pretty well.

09/02/06 - New tires. 195/55/15 VR rated tires. BF Goodrich Traction T/A's. These are great tires. Highly recommend them to everyone. They are much better than the Goodyear's I had on before.

10/15/06 - New rear brake rotors and pads installed. New front pads installed also. New front rotors and pads coming soon.

11/30/06 - LSD in trans. broke apart inside and cracked the trans. case. Now it has a crack in the case and one wheel spins (left side only). I am looking for another one to get her fixed and back onto the road ASAP.

12/08/06 - New Transmission cam in today from NJ. Came out of a 96' SE-R with 76k miles. Looks sexy.

12/12/06 - '96 SE-R Transmission installed. New Clutch cable installed. Rotated new tires for first time. Holy hell this thing screams now. The clutch is like butter and the transmission is strong, feels very crisp, sharp and quick. Awesome swap and a huge thanks to Al for all the help!

12/13/06 - New passenger front rotor installed. All I have left to replace is the driver side front rotor and i will have news pads and rotors

08/15/07 - Rotated tires, changed oil. Damn she is so clean inside the engine. Looks like it rolled off the factory still!

08/18/07 - 3 new rotors (both fronts and driver-side rear), new driver-side rear caliper, new front brake pads. Flushed, cleaned, refilled, bled entire brake system.

08/28/07 - Installed and tuned S-AFC II. Had a makeshift wideband setup clipped to my muffler and gave me a reading through that. Tuned it very nicely, pulls extremely hard all the way from 3500 up. Definitely a much stronger car with its A/F ratio being leaned out a large amount.

12/01/07 - New tires. 205/50-15 BFGoodrich KDWs. Sick tires.

08/25/08 - Car is running well. Nothing new to report. New horsepower on the dyno acheived. 139hp. that would be 163 at the crank compared to 140 stock at the crank. so far a 23+hp gain with my current modifications. The S-AFC II has been fully tuned for my vehicle and running at dyno tuned and tested conditions.

12/22/08 - Pain. Rear ended an SUV. Car is coming back tho. SE-R lives forever.

^^^ Fixed

02/16/2009 - All purdied up.

02/21/2009 - Prothane Motor Mounts installed. Awesome.

06/30/3009 - First time synthetic oil graces my car. Valvoline max life (red bottle) put into my car and made it way better. I love this oil and will use it forever.

Thanks a lot man! Good luck to you as well, hopefully no more wrecks. The SE-R's don't deserve them, lol. My mom had a B13 SE-R, and I've been looking for a clean one for so long.. but being a car that is nearly 20 years old, it's really hard to find a good one. There are plenty out there, but locating one is another story! Anyway, hopefully I'll see some more mods to your car! I've got a lot planned out for the Spec. Drop by anytime and check her out

Sorry to hear about the rear end bro, i'm sure she looks great now though! It's cool to see how much hard work you've put into her over the past 5 years. I always wanted a 200SX SE-R, but I ended up with a Spec V instead. Nissan rules. And 5 stars for your SE-R. Check mine sometime if ya dig
