I'll start with a little information. It is a 74 Spirit of America Nova. It was a special edition that pretty much only means it has vinyl stripes and a red interior. I bought it in 2002 when I was a senior in high school. I got it with a 283 in it, but it lacks power. It has a TH350. I wanted a stick, but I wasn't able to find one, so I bought an automatic.

This is what it looked like last summer. (Sorry about the blurriness. The camera I was using sucks.)

I currently have 16" Iroc Z rims on it. I originally bought them because the tires that were on it were rotted. I'm starting to like them.

These rims came on it. They are off of an early 70's Camaro. I use them as my winter rims, so it doesn't have to sit on the good tires that are on the Iroc rims

I'll add more pictures when I get the time.

Hey, nice car!! I just bought two '74 Spirit of America Hatchbacks, I want to sell them but I don't know how much to ask. They are in pretty rough shape but they are restorable. They are both missing the engines and transmissions but the rest of the parts are there. I know they are pretty rare cars, but I don't know how much they are worth to a Nova lover. If you could e-mail me back an estimite that would be great!!! dalevt@hotmail.com

Nice Nova Don't discard the 283 it's an excellent short stroke motor, Make a SCREEMING Small block with the right combination of parts! Should be great in a light body car like the Nova. Why you think Chevy quit makin the 283 and 327.. because they ran strong and lasted too long :) I'd consider some Vette/camaro Rally rims for your Nova, There great if your on a budget (who isn't) and they look good on most any older performace car. Plus they can be had with rings and caps for $50 a piece (reproductions) if you shop around. I picked up a set of 4 15X8" for mine at a Super Chevy show (NEW) for $200. May go with 18"s later bit there good for now.
