This 1964 Ford Falcon 2dr sedan is not your grandma's Falcon.This is a very fun and exciting car to drive.
This car is a drivers car. It handles great and is very fast.
The motor is a NEW 5.0 block. It has a 3.25" stroke crank producing 327 cu.in. Forged H-beam rods and Forged flat top SRP pistons that produce 10.5:1 compresion. A main bearing stud girdle and Melling high volume oil pump make up the bottom end. The cam is a Crane roller with the same profile as Ford Motorsport E303, 280 duration, .498 lift with Ford Motorsport roller lifters. The heads are Aluminum Edelbrock RPM with 1.90" intakes. Also features an Edelbrock water pump, Mallory Unilite distributor, Ford Shelby dual plane intake, Edelbrock 600 cfm carb, and Doug's TriY ceramic coated headers. Also has aluminum 7 quart Cobra oil pan. Hi tork mini starter to turn it over.
Under the front end there are Total Control Products rack and pinion steering, adjustable strut rods and lower control arms. A one inch sway bar and KYB shocks. There is also a custom lower cross member tied to the motor mounts to stiffen everyting up. The under hood bracing is also all custom made.
The transmission is a Borg Warner T-5 with 2.95:1 first gear and works great with the 3:50:1 rear end gears. Centerforce flywheel and Ford 10-1/2" heavy duty clutch. The car cruises at about 2200 RPM at 75 MPH. The rear end is and 8" Currie unit that has been narrowed 1" and has an Auburn limited slip unit. Holding up the rear end are a pair of heavy duty 4 leaf springs, 3/4" sway bar, KYB shocks and Traction Masters.
The wheels are 16"x8" Vintage Wheel Works "Vintage 45" with 225/50/16 front and 2454/50/16 rear BF Goodrich Comp T/A VR4 tires.
The Front has '68 Mustang disc brakes and the rear has Stainless Steel Brakes disc brake kit. There is a dual master cylinder and proportioning valve under the hood.
Also under the hood you will find and aluminum radiator, custom overflow tank, Cobra valve covers, Malory wires, custom throttle and clutch linkage with spherical rod ends, but you won't find a battery. It has been moved to the trunk along with the gas filler with a catch cup and drain. The trunk is clean with reproduction mat and tire cover.
The interior is very cool with the red and black theme to match the exterior. It has a great 8-Ball theme going on on the shifter and door locks. The dash is upgraded with Stewart Warner gauges in a mustang dash face and Rally Pack cluster. The dash face has been painted to match the Stewart Warners and has individual turn signal indicators where the idiot lights used to be. Also installed is a Le Carra wood rimmed steering wheel.
The car is a blast to drive especially on fast mountain highways. It will cruise along with the crazy's on the interstate or shine on Main St for cruise night or show day.
