Here she is...my first love. 1975 Dodge Coronet custom...got her when I was 16 from the original owner with all the paperwork, etc. This has been one reliable ride and I know that if I was ever to be in a wreck in this thing, it would do some damage...
For those of you who aren't familiar with this ride it has 318ci V8 under the hood (a little more economic then some of it's bigger brothers out there)Automatic trans, air conditioning, and cruise control. Some of you might remember this coronet on some of the old Dukes of Hazzard episodes and on CHiP's, used as the highway patrol car.
I just put dual Flowmaster 50's on...man she's purrin now...had to keep it kinda tame though since here in Oregon a 1975 vehicle has to still go through DEQ...pretty lame...notice the tow hitch, the old owner used to tow a utility trailer and a small boat!
I like to try to keep her clean and protected since she is gettin up there in age, but every once in a while I like to take her out and do a little burnin and like to give those 4 banger ricers a run for their money, you'd think they would know that changin the size of the tail pipe doesn't make the engine any bigger...oh well, gotta teach em' now and then I guess...
I've got a dixie horn on order... I know it's not the General Lee but I think it'd be fun to turn a few heads.
Check out my other member of the Mopar family, my '02 Dakota. Just picked that one up a few months back and I'm allways findin stuff to customize it.
