I wrote a letter to the local auto body recently. I asked them if they woud be willing to sponsor my senior project. If they agree then they will help me paint the car for free.
To my surprise they responded the next day and agreed to sponsor me. Bill, the guy that owns the auto body, came over to my house and showed me what I need to do.
First I need to remove all of the trim, the mirrors, the lights and the bumpers. Next I need to wash the car with prepsol. The prepsol will remove all of the silicon and wax that is on the paint. After it is clean I can start sanding the car. Everything must get sanded. Once it is completely sanded I can take it to the auto body to do the final preperations.
