The carburetor and intake manifold were the first upgrades I made to the Bimmer. It used to have a 32/36 DGAV downdraft carb. A piece of junk if you ask me.
I replaced it with a Weber 45 DCOE and a Lynx single side draft manifold.
As you can see the two 45mm barrels provide a lot more flow than the 32mm and 36mm barrels on the DGAV.
