1969 Dodge Charger. Originally it was just a plain 2dr charger, only thing fancy was the factory a/c. Drivetrain was a 230hp 318ci V8 backed by a 904 automatic and 8 1/4 rearend. More like a cruiser(grocery getter) in its prime. After I saved it from the harsh elements of the California foothills.. it got a complete makeover from interior to drive train.

Update 8.12.07
I've added front and rear competition engineering drag shocks to get a better bite off the line. It made a difference on the street but amazingly improved the ride overall. Since the shocks are adjustable, there still is some fine tuning needed. I definitely need to invest in some subframe connectors too. There is substantial body movement when launching on slicks and they should complement the drag shocks perfectly. Running the 340 small block under the hood has its advantages. The car is extremely light on its front and handles very well. There is plenty of room within the engine compartment for misc. maintenance. The little 340 is also powerful enough to light up the rears at will. For the track, lower gears work well with the setup. She's wicked in first and second gears. I've since switched from 4.30 to 3.91 gear ratios and it made about a 2 tenths difference at the track. She's a flat 13 sec. ride with 3.91's. Now that it is running consistent, I will be making necessary adjustments to timing, suspension, carburetor, etc. to get some gains to dip into the high 12's. Then it should be a no-brainer when I stuff in some 4.56's that it will beat its current record time.
