My dad bought this car in 1996. He ordered it with the intention of buying it, but it started out as one of his '96 GM company cars. He drove it about 8,000 miles as his company car before he bought it in '96.

Here were the miles in April, 2007.

It's almost a shame I'm going to make it a daily driver, but I intend to be the guy that puts the first 200,000 miles on it. It's actually kind of stupid, but that's the plan.

For those of you that think Impalas came with G-Force T/A's, you'd be wrong. These are the original tires, and they look like new. I want to preserve these for some reason, so I'm going to drive it with the Michelins and the wheels I had on my Fleetwood.

This stuff was in the trunk. That dealer tag was actually my dad's KC Zone Office Manufacturer's tag that he ran on this car when it was new.

There are two window stickers; the one that was stuck on the car, and the duplicate my dad ordered when it was new.

The interesting thing about them is that where most window stickers give a dealer where the car was to be delivered, this one actually has the Kansas City Zone Office as the delivery place.

Dad drove a green '95 that he had actually planned to buy, but then he heard about the console and waited. This one was going to be green, too, but I talked him into the black one. So I had a little input on it, I guess.

Anyway, I know you've all seen stock Impalas, but I wanted to show off anyway. I love this car, and I think it's actually better than I deserve. I don't buy new cars, so this is likely the closest I'll ever get. In my world, it's very special, so there you go.

Those last two pictures were from a KC Impala SS Club meetup where we got to drive around I-70 Speedway.

Nice Impala. Its always nice to see one with such low miles. I seen one with 10 000km (6000miles). Sure was some eye candy. The reason that your window sticker doesn't have the dealer name on it is because it was a company car. Fleet cars are usually bought directly from GM or GM fleet sales or something like that... and just delivered by the dealer. Check to see if you car has RPO code "FLT" it should, if it was a company car.
