Stage 1-Finding a car: Having always prefered calais's to any other model there was only a couple of choices. I wanted a car that was non irs and lighter than the vp so i was left with either a vl or vk calais. Luckily i was informed of a guy outside of melbourne selling a vk calais v8 rolling shell already equipped with 35 spline lsd 9 inch, mini tubs, koni coil over rear suspension, koni adjustable fronts, adjustable whiteline swaybars and panhard rod, harrop 343mm 4 piston front brakes, nascar 2 piston rear brakes, full genuine vk grp a bodykit, 17 inch full polished ROH wheels with 235 and 275 tyres on board. I jumped on a plane to melbourne and with the help of my uncle towed the car back to the suburbs and organised a car carrier to get it to sunny queensland. Well worth the trip considering the guy had spent 15k on the car in the 3 months prior to me purchasing it. This was the condition of the car when we got it back to my uncles place. Thats him in the pic.

Stage 2: It took me a while to find a panel beater i was comfortable with and i ended up choosing ACT Smash repairs in moss st slacks creek. The car is painted in a custom blue. Some custom touched i added were smoothed and filled engine bay, removed fuel filler, washer jets and passenger door lock. Then car was then massaged and sprayed.

Three months later the car was ready for delivery. This was the end result.
