Dan's 1966 Mustang Fastback
The fastback was purchased in May of '03. I have always wanted a mustang and this definitely fits the bill. I wanted a V8 and manual along with original tranny/engine. Well, I got the engine but the tranny was sold to make room for a cobra T5 tranny. I wish I had kept the 4 speed toploader. Sometime you make a good decision and sometimes you don't. I have tried to present a outline of the website so you don't need to look through every page in order to get the right area.

What it looked like initially and after. Incredibly, the only difference is the wheel combo only, but it sure seems like the color changed. I feel pretty lucky to find such a wonderfully preserved mustang. Always wanted one and things are about to change. Just about everything will change over the next two years.

Here is a few pics of the newer look '66 restomod. I added custom backspacing rims, shelby r model apron, hood and side scoops. Epoxy painted ready to ride now and paint next year. I decided not to do the 1/4 windows since my vents are in fantastic shape. I still have the black paint accents.

Suspension mod's.

The front and rear suspension were completely rebuilt. The front suspension includes 1" front sway bar, 620's with a 1" drop, shelby drop, rollerized spring perches, boxed in LCA's and screwed in ball joints. Below is a few pics of my LCA. Much of this should go credit to the vintage mustang forum and opentracker.

Another shot of my LCA project. This pic was used to measure what spherical bearing I needed to buy. I really don't think I'd do it again. I have nearly 1K in just the LCA alone. You can buy them from Cobra Automotive for 650. The high cost was due to the amount of machining needed at open up the ball joint and the spherical bearing opening.
