WHEN I BOUGHT IT.....on October 10, 2004.

EXTERIOR
- 1963 Morris Mini 850
- Fibreglass one piece removable front
- Recent respray in metallic silver
- 12x5 ROH Minilites with Falken tyres
- No grille

DRIVETRAIN
- 1275 rebored to 1310cc
- 12G940 head, flowed, ported, cc'd, large valves, 11 stud
- Unknown cam - assuming its a 649 by the way it drives - will confirm later
- 45DCOE Weber on a 6 inch manifold
- Finer Filter air filter
- Custom extractors and exhaust
- Facet fuel pump
- Twin leading shoe drum brakes
- 3.7 diff ratio - a bullet off the line, but 120kmh top speed.

INTERIOR
- No carpet or back seat.
- Nissan S13 Silvia front seats
- RPM 4 point harnesses
- Aluminium dash
- Smiths tacho and temperature gauge

The doors wouldnt close, the fibreglass front was way out of alignment, the car had fuel leaking into the cabin, stuffed clutch, stuffed steering rack..... and other annoying things.

20 days later, after repairs were done....

EXTERIOR
- 1963 Morris Mini 850
- Fibreglass one piece removable front
- 12x5 ROH Minilites with Falken tyres
- Twin leading shoe drum brakes
- Cooper grille
- All new door and window rubbers and seals

ENGINE
- Standard 998cc and 4 speed
- 1.5 inch SU carby on a LYNX alloy manifold.
- RAM FLO air filter

INTERIOR
- Standard mini low back seats with new black and grey trim
- Black carpet on floor
- Dash and parcel shelf trimmed in grey
- Morris Cooper 3 gauge central binnacle.

Almost everything that was faulty was repaired or replaced, and the car was cleaned up. Rewired the front of the car so that it could be unplugged and removed easier..

Sold it to a friend.... and then it got defected a week later. (defect = "unroadworthy" notice)

Hi, you seem to ba an expert on the old mini's, could you tell me if there is a steering wheel boss kit that is compatible with mini or are they unique? I mean could a boss kit that fits another car fit a mini?

Ive got 5 engines in pieces, 3 incomplete minis, trying to pay off a house and get a shed built.... too many bills and not enough time or space to work on the cars. The 1310 with SC12 will stay in pieces for a few more years yet.... unfortunately.

Nathan,
I noticed you didn't use your SC12 in the latest Mini project. Do you want to sell it? I am after one for my 1934 PA MG, an 847cc engine. Anyone else out there have a good one for sale?
Thanks,
Pete.
