My Nova
Okay so I decided to put up a page for my other transportation. I had to pick up a car to drive last fall when I started tearing my Nova down. Be sure to check it out II Low and let me know what you think of my Accord too!
So I thought I would just keep the car stock, as I bought it in the fall, 2003. Here's a quick rundown of how I bought it:
Car: 2000 Accord EX
Engine: Stock 2.3L VTEC
Trans: 5 speed manual
The only other thing the previous owner added was the tinted windows. I don't know, but I believe them to be around 30% all around. I do know they are technically illegal here in Oregon.
My plans to keep it stock lasted two days until I had to upgrade the headlights to PIAA Xtreme White bulbs. These are probably the best non-HID bulbs I have run across. I've already heard from people how they are expensive and you can get brighter bulbs for cheaper. So, my justification is that the PIAA's have a considerably longer life, and they run at the same wattage as stock bulbs so you don't have to worry about burning up your wiring. Here's a few pics from when I was making the upgrade.

Even though it's obvious, Stock on left... PIAA on the right.
A head on of the lights. You can tell how much better the lighting is in this one:

The other thing I always disliked were the taillights of course. C'mon Honda, Pink? I was going to swap in some taillights from and '01 or '02 model. Until I saw the Red/Clear combos that were available. A couple pics of the taillight swap I just completed today (2/26/04).

Much better after the upgrade:

Audio:
I'm going to work on getting some pics of my current audio setup, but a quick rundown as it is now:
Headunit:
- Stock Honda EX w/single CD Player
Speakers:
- Factory 6 Speaker system
will be replacing stock speakers (in stock location) with upgrades in the future
Additions:
- Adapter from RCAinput.com, hooks into factory cd changer input and gives you 1 set RCA Inputs
- High-to-low transformer allows for one set of RCA preouts to feed the amplifier.
- 10 GB Apple iPod
I'll never go back to CD's or radio again!
- Monster Cable iCable
- 1 12" Kenwood Sub
(nothing high dollar, but still plenty clear)
- US Acoustics Amp, bridged sending 300W to the Kenwood Sub
(again nothing super expensive, but more than gets it done)
***More pics to come, so keep checking me out***
