Nov. 6 2009,  Its been a long time since ive updated the cardomain, so i figured i would get some more info up. Right now the camaro ran a best of 11.29@123mph at 75-80 dragway on M+H 275/60/16 drag radials with a 1.7 60ft. Previusly, the car was apart last winter to replace the heavy 124gram stainless intake valves with the lighter LS3 hollow stems. While the heads were off I also replaced the camshaft with a spec'd out custom grind 244/248 .629/.615 111lsa cam from performance specialties. The car was on the dyno about a month ago and was running into some fuel problems My tuner Jeff at PSI believed it to be a fuel pump problem. He said he got the tune decent but i would have to fix the fuel issue. He said it was dropping pressure at the regulator guage in the upper RPM. I think this explains why last year the car was trapping 127mph and now it was besting a 123mph. I ended up dropping the tank and replaced the 3 year old Walbro single pump with a dual pumper 340 wallbro pump kit. and hotwire harness upgrade from Racetronix And Installed 2 QTP low profile oval electric cutouts right on the y-pipe!

I still noticed the fuel pressure bleading off after the priming the regulator with the key on engine off. I capped off the return port and discovered the regulator it self was bleading pressure too quickly. I called the manufacturer of the regulator (Performance Products) and they sent me out an exchange unit free of charge. Since then the car has not been back to the track since my 11.29@123mph

2 weeks ago i decided if I am going to run 10's before the tracks close, im gonna have to invest in a decent tire. I bought 2 Billet Specialties wheels in 10"wide 15" rims to mount a nice DOT slick. After running a 27" tire i found out that the car would pass the traps too early to shift into 4th. The cars gearing has it setup best for trapping in 4th gear with a 26" tire. I bought a pair of Hoosier Quick Time Pros in 26x11.5x15.

Last week i also bought a new nitrous kit from Nitrousoutlet.com with all the goodies and am currently in the process of installing the kit. The kit is a 15lb bottle with purge kit, 860 bottle heater bracket, f-body fender mount kit, upgrade kit, and 90mm spray plate kit. The plate is supposed to be good up to 400hp shot but i only got the jets to go up to a 300. I built the 408 to handle a 300shot all day long. Ill try and get pics of the install when im done.

CamaroRicks 1995 Chevrolet Camaro Famous quote i heard from a guy on LS1 Tech. "Nitrous is like a Insanely hot girl with an STD. You know you wanna hit it but your affraid of the consequenses"

500rwhp all motor + 300shot of Nitrous Oxide should be plenty to run 9's and still get 21mph driving to Ocean City for 2.5 hours! Last year i was stuck in traffic for 4 hours and the 408 never once overheated.

Nov. 30 2009,  I got some more pics of the new  Nitro Daves kit install

Hey man nice looking camaro. 5 stars. I like that you swapped in the LS1 engine. How hard of a swap was it? I'm looking at swapping in a LS1 into my camaro after college. Where did you get your k-member from too? Come check out my camaro and let me know what you think of it. Cya around
