None of my cars have the roof mounted speaker, I never have added them, maybe someday but I am in no hurry as I like the way they look without them. We paint them ourselves; add the graphics, and the push bars. No they are not perfect exact copies, and that is the beauty of doing a Bluesmobile they don't have to be. I know speaking for myself, I see different things on the Bluesmobile than others, and my cars are not 100% authentic to every detail but they are close.
Example: I think the paint over spray on the front lower drivers side and hood is gold and others think it is red primer, so it is all up to the owner and what he thinks.... CHECK THE MRS. TORINTINO "Toronto as Jake says" CLIP, THAT IS GOLD PAINT NOT RED PRIMER ON THE HOOD AND FRONT LOWER FENDER, JUST MY THOUGHT ON THE SUBJECT.
May 2006 I bought one of the 7+ cars left from the filming of the Blues Brothers 2000. Mine is a 1989 LTD Crown Victoria #43: this car did the slide in scenes and the barricade scene, 1 of 7-10 known to exist. Check my garage for this cool Bluesmobile!
I have added pictures of my 74 K code CHP 440 Monaco. She is an original CHP car and still has her numbers matching 440. Dan Aykroyd and Jim Belushi signed the dash in 97. There are pictures of it next to my BB2k Bluesmobile. My BB2K car was used by the House Of Blues Orlando in Dec 07, and you can see pics below, I had to transport the NUNS to pick up guests for a party.
Also you can see my 74 CHP Bluesmobile being used in Dec 07 for Wayne Huizenga's 70th birthday party in Ft. Lauderdale FL. He is the owner of the Miami Dolphins and the Waste Management King. You will see the Blues Brothers act sanctioned by Dan Aykroyd and Judy Belushi driving my car.
I have also added pics of a 74 Monaco under restoration and some others that I have sitting in storage. Enjoy! Will update in detail someday when I have time.
The pictures you see show some finished cars, and some are the way they were the day I brought them home. I hope you enjoy these pics. I would like to thank all the other Mopar and Bluesmobile/Blues Brothers nuts on here and around the world for saving these mules from the crusher and the !@#$%^& derby guys. Remember it takes a Mopar to catch a Mopar:)
