This page is of my 79 malibu. It is currently under construction. Plans for this summer are to install the new aftermarket floor, finish the body work get it painted and put the new interior in it. That way by the end of next summer I can hopefully install the new 383. Upgrades to the suspension include KYB shocks, energy suspension bushings and body mounts, 12 bolt rear, SSM uppers and lowers.
Started doing some of the body work. I replaced the drivers side rocker panel still working on it but will get some pics once in primer also took care of some small rot in the door jamb while I was at it. Finally starting to get somewhere

Andy. I tried to post this in your guestbook but it wouldn't submit so I'm putting it here until I can copy and paste it into your book. Hey man. The Bu got put on the back burner the last year and a half. The last thing I got done was the floor pans. It got to hard finishing my degree and working on the car. I just bought a house and just finished moving all my tools etc., so the cars is coming in about a 1-2 weeks. Can't wait I have the bug real bad. Any way are you strippingn the whole car to bare metal? If so 60 grit on a DA. If your applying the mud and smoothing, I start with around 100 grit to knock any high spots down then move to 150. Once you have it smooth and your happy with it, apply a thin coat of "icing" over it to fill the pin holes. Then sand with 220 and your ready to spray with primer. I want to wait till I make some progress check my page in about a month, I should have it updated. If you have any more ?'s just shout.

here is a shot of the rear. Don't worry about the cover I have a new aluminum one to go on. I am going to pull it back out this winter and put new axles, gears, bearings and seals in. Just put it in now to roll it around.

I'd like to see some pics when you're finished. Check out my 80 when you get the chance. I'm thinking about painting black--what do you think? Holla back
