hey everyone...im looking for a 2g leather shift knob...if you have an extra let me know...id like to get one to swap it out with my huge 1g...thanks.

This is my 91 talon tsi awd. its my first car...and i love it...im not sure when i wanted to get a dsm....but when i was looking for a car...it was all i wanted...in aug, (i think),i found this one in the paper for $3,000 with about 74,000 miles. it was pretty nice and i got it. almost as soon as i got it i did a timing belt change since this is very important on these cars...and the owner, (original owner i should say,) had it done at 11,000 miles because of a recall...so it was 14,000 miles overdue!!! i was scared that it would snap before it got home...and even then i took it out for a while before i changed it. i was sure not to stress it...though i was still so scared. it took about a week to finish the change, (timing and balance,) but i didnt change the autotensioner, water pump, or any pulleys. but every place i called to have it done said it was gonna cost between $500-$600...i had never even done an oil change before this, so thats why it took so long(about $100 to do it myself). at about 75,000 i switched to mobil 1 engine oil, and i didnt flush it out fist because it was so clean, (for which i might still pay). in nov. i took it into a ditch...a huge ditch...like 9 foot deep...or more...

had to get a tow truck to pull me out...that cost 100 somthing...then the driver side spindle was bent...about 90 for the spindle...and then i had to pay for it to be replaced by a pro since the old one was so stuck...also had to change the struts...body damage: diver side door and rear 1/4 panel...(now fixed...and im happy with the results...)...heres a pic:
also the driver side bumper was pushed in...which i still have to fix. the door and behind it cost $500 to fix. what do you think? pretty good huh?
as for performance upgrades, i put a k&n in it...removed the air can...removed the silencer and lower honeycomb in the MAS...removed the restriction in the BCS, and installed a boost gauge, (which was sent to autometer since it was reading wrong.) right now i really need a new exhaust.
recently i changed my trans fluid, rear diff fluid and transfercase fluid...i also took it in for the transfer case recall. well thats it for now...more later.
