Welcome to my page, dedicated to my Evolution Gold Mazda MX5.
The car was built in October 1998 and now has over 130,000kms on the clock.
Unfortunately in April 2002 my car had succumb to the dreaded #4 bearing failure problem. The car had 80,000km on the clock and the 3 year warranty had expired 6 months earlier. Fortunately Mazda Australia came to the party with a new short engine :).
As far as I know it is the only #4 bearing failure in Australia (at least thats what I was told by Mazda Oz). It made for an interesting time during Natmeet 2002 in the Clare Valley where I had to get around in an 800cc Daihatsu Cuore!
