had some problems with it early on with the original engine , blame it on the electronic water temp gauge and the interstate. it overheated blew the head gaskets, fixed that problem with almost empty pockets, the barter system, and a mongoose bicycle to get me to the auto parts store. never sent the heads off to get redone, also because of empty pockets and desperate need of a ride. It wasn't long before the valve guide seals dropped causing the collapse of all my lifters, again empty pockets to blame and lack of tools. With all the problems in mind and the costs to fix them, I decided to call a friend(LSC SS) for a used engine with 30,000 less miles then my original engine.Made the deal and soon after the car was running great with the exception of a few minor things
had a vacuum leak (hose thats connected to the map sensor was old and brittle) ,timing was off because it was tuned to compensate for the vacuum leak, and a bad cap and rotor, needless to say all this has been taken care of and the car is running stronger than ever! got new radiator and vacuum hoses, replaced the cap and rotor with MSD performance cap and rotor , new ignition module , timing set at 10 deg. (stock), hollowed out all 4 cats so the car is also sounding pretty sweet, and customized the taillights just a little bit,I took out the plastic pieces and cleaned the whole taillight assembly so all the chrome shined real bright then I left out the clear plastic piece and put just the red cover back on and installed APC's 3157 red bulbs I'll have more pics up soon. SO FAR SO SWEET....
