November 2, 2005 - Finally - getting his new coat of paint...
The final show is coming soon. There was not much rust on this car - I was amazed. The front lower parts of both doors (under the vent windows) seems to be the worst. The rot was taken out, new metal and lead were put in place. There were several LAKES of bondo. The Body shop guys (Alejandro and Antonio) at Velasco Body Shop took the time to remove the old bondo, pull the dents, then resurface the spots. These guys have been great. I gave them the car in July and told them to please take their time. We are painting the mustang Black with Dark Aqua Metallic stripes. It's got to be smooth or every little spot will show.
Here are some pictures - I'll pick the car up on Saturday, put the interior back in, get new keys cut and present it to my son then. Wish him luck...no fender benders please!
