This is a 1971 Buick Riviera "Boattail". I had seen this car for months sitting for sale and told myself I would buy it some day. Well someday happened a week later after a nasty burnout in my T-bird broke the frame in the rear and left it undrivable. I stopped to look at the Riv on the tow home. They wanted $800 firm and was listed as a parts car. It fired up and ran great. The brake lines were blown out but I decided to drive it home anyways (I live in the country so this really isn't nothing we haven't done before). The inspection and registration sticker said she hasn't seen road duty since 1992. That was 11 years ago from the date I picked it up. A quick tune up and some brake work and she was as good as new. I have drag raced her to a best of 15.90 @ 83 MPH. Just so you know most of the rice at the strip that night were running 15.8 to 18.2. There were a couple in the 14s but that was it. So she held her own for a 32 year old car.
