Sharad's 1986 Ford Mustang I'm Sharad, this is my humble abode. This site is 100% Mustang. I'll be updating this frequently, but I'll start with the basics. As far back as I can remember, my dad was into Mustangs. When I was ten, he bought his first 5.0 Mustang. As the years (and modifications) flew by, my fate as a Mustang Man was sealed! I've owned over a dozen different Mustangs and I'll post pics as I am able to dig them up, but I'll start this page with what I'm doing now:

My new (old) 1986 Mustang GT

When I was nine years old, my dad fell in love with the '85 Mustang GT. Our friend Gregg Montgomery had one, and my dad HAD to get one for himself! He went to the dealership around Sept. '85 to pick one out. They informed him that in just a few months, Ford was coming out with the new ELECTRONIC FUEL INJECTED 5.0L Mustang! My dad was convinced that he should wait, so he special ordered this charcoal grey Mustang from Krieger Ford in Columbus, Ohio.

I'll never forget the night we picked it up. It was January 2, 1986 when we got the call to come pick it up. We were in AWE when we first saw the car. Not only was it our pretty new Mustang, but also, it was the first car any of us had seen with the "third brake light" or "high mounted brake light". To me, it looked like the afterburner on a jet, glowing red in the center of the spoiler! I digress-

Anyway, I remember being ten years old and laying under the car with my dad, adding any performance part that "Ford Motorsport" came out with back in the 80's. This car went from being daily driven, to being put in storage for years, to becoming MY daily driver. Then I sold it BACK to my dad a few years ago, and now I GOT IT BACK!

My dad and I have big plans for this car, but I've chosen to document the progress, rather than spell it out up front.

Here are some pictures I took before the project began.
