IV. EXTERIOR DRESS UP
_____________________________________
These were any mods or upgrades done to enhance the looks of the car.

JDM Silvia S14 headlamps
I replaced my stock USDM 240sx headlamps with a pair of genuine JDM Silvia S14 Zenki headlamps. Whereas the USDM reflectors are one piece adjustable with bubble level, the JDM units ditch the bubble level but have separate high / low reflectors that can be aimed individually. (Condition: used | Install time: 0:15h)

JDM Silvia S14 front grille and Silvia S14 Emblem
I also replaced my stock USDM 240sx front grille with a genuine JDM Silvia S14 grille. I know this wasn't anything new to 240 people, but I always wanted this grille and I finally got one. Luckily for me I found one in the same OEM Nissan "Super Black" color as my car. To complete the effect I went with the red / chrome S14 S Silvia emblem since red and black are my favorite color combination. I also bent the emblem slightly with a heat gun to match the contour of the OEM hood. (Condition: new | Install time: 0:15h)

S14 FRP Headlamp Eyeliners
When I first got my car, I used paint on my old OEM headlight lenses to do the eyeliner effect, but after switching to JDM headlamps I decided to buy some FRP molded eyeliners for them instead. (Condition: new | Install time: 0:05h)
D-Speed Style Tinted Signal Lamps
My friend Jimmy hooked me up with a set of these tinted front signal lamps. They were similar to the D-Speed pieces, but they didnt cost $120 like the D-Speed ones. (Condition: new | Install time: 0:15h)

Refinished Taillights
The taillights on the car were dull and faded when I bought it. Instead of looking for a new set, I ended up using glass red paint on the side lenses for that 'all red' look. Now even the signals blink red instead of orange. Most of the labor time was waiting for paint to dry. (Extra Parts Needed: yes | Install / Labor Time: 3:00h)
Refinished Center Garnish
I swapped in a new center garnish that I blacked out with paint. I removed the center emblem and filled the emblem holes to make the look smoother. After painting it black, I followed up with 4-5 coats of clear protect the surface. Most of the labor time was waiting for paint to dry. (Extra Parts Needed: yes | Install / Labor Time: 3:00h)

JDM S14 Kouki Rear Spoiler
I also got a hookup on a genuine JDM S14 Kouki rear spoiler. This wasnt the fiberglass copy version the one I got was the real deal from Nissan of Japan. Like the Silvia grille, luckily I found this in a matching color. (Condition: used | Install time: 0:15h)
Japanese Glowing Ring- things
I didnt really know who manufactured these. The text on the package was in Japanese, the diagrams had Japanese writing, and the actual part had no identifying marks. It was basically a pair of glowing rings made of some soft rubber material that you put on each headlight bulb. Then you drive for at least, oh - 15 minutes with your headlights on, turn your headlights off, and they glowed as if they were still on. It's like old-school city lights, but once the rings lost their charge, their brightness eventually faded. Its kind of hard to see in the picture, you got the full effect if you could actually see how it worked in person. (Condition: new | Install time: 0:10h)
