III. DRIVE SYSTEM
_____________________________________
These are all the modifications / upgrades that were drivetrain-related.
Exedy Sports Clutch
When the original clutch went out on me, I went with a genuine Exedy kit (not the Daikin OEM one) which came with an Exedy "Sports" pressure plate and organic clutch disc. I was still running the KA24DE, so I didn't really need anything stronger. (Condition: new | Install time: 2:00h)
C?s Short Shifter
I upgraded to a genuine C?s Japan short-shifter. I got lucky on finding this piece at a decent price, seeing as it was discontinued a few years ago (the company went bankrupt) but has been one of the most sought after aftermarket lines due to their quality. Shifts were nice and swift. (Condition: new | Install time: 0:20h)

Clutch Damper Mod
A friend told me that this mod was a good one, so with their help we removed the OEM clutch damper system. Before, my clutch wasn't giving me much feedback. Afterward my clutch felt a lot smoother and I could also tell exactly when the clutch grabbed the flywheel. (Extra Parts Needed: no | Install / Labor Time: 0:10h)
Nismo Transmission Mount
After 10 years, OEM transmission mount was pretty much worn out. Along with the motor mount upgrade, I also opted for Nismo?s transmission mount. My old transmission mount was in two pieces, so this was a needed upgrade. (Condition: new | Install time: 0:15h)
Redline MT-90 Synthetic Gear Oil
I drained the old transmission fluid and replaced it with 4.25 quarts of Redline MT-90 synthetic gear oil (GL-4) and immediately I felt a difference. Even at startup, shifting felt really smooth, and after a bit of driving, I didn't feel much of the "transmission wall heat" on my right foot that is common with most 240SX's. (Condition: new | Install time: 0:10h)
