Here's a closer look at how the 3rd gen Camaro convertible top works . . .

iroctopless's 1989 Chevrolet Camaro The top folded under the raised cover. A nice thing about the Camaro as opposed to the Mustang and many other cars is no boot is required to protect the top. It goes completely out of site under a hard shell. It takes me less then 30 seconds to put it up or down. It's a manual system but incredibly simple.

iroctopless's 1989 Chevrolet Camaro Top being raised and unfolded.
iroctopless's 1989 Chevrolet Camaro Leading edge resting in place on the windshield. Back half of top raised to allow the hard shell cover to lay back down.
iroctopless's 1989 Chevrolet Camaro Cover is now down. The back half of the top can be raised seperatly whenever you need to. This makes it really easy to access the back seats. This works great when I put my baby daughter in her car seat or if you need to get anything back there.
