This is originally a 2.8L Californian car now its a
Police high output 305 I have put in 2.28:1 gears in the rearend for speed on the highway. But I felt like putting in some
3.42s in a
LIMITED SLIP POSI rearend. I have just put in a
DynoMAX high flow exhaust with a killer sound and huge 3.25 chrome tips! New
HIGH FLOW CAT. I just finished ripping out the old grey interior and replaced it with black, including new carpet and T-top headliner. I have two 12" sony X-plods in it with an alpine deck. Paired up with the deck are a set of alpine 6x9s and 4x6s. Running the subs is a 1200W sony amp and running the two 6x9s is a kicker mono amp. It has a set of 17" rims with michelin pilots V rated tires. I have made a box made which is quite the design feature i must admit it is half wood on top and molded to the cars shape with fiberglass on the bottom works very well and looks great. I replaced the tranny put on a K&N new rad recent paint 90,000 miles on the car itself. Everything works well. Air conditioning needs recharging, because of disconection. With the HO 305 it gets 16.5 in the 1/4...

UPDATES: Just a little bit of tranny problems this weekend, the auto finally gave out, so i began to attempt to put in my borg-warner 77mm 5spd but i needed a bellhousing to fit the 305... anyways i'm thinking a 4.3L standard bellhousing will fit because i have the bellhousing out of a 65 impala that fits the two together but it uses mechanical clutch whereas the 4.3 used a slave cylinder. sooo in the mean time i tried to put in another automatic but only two bolts on a buick tranny will fit the chev motor. so had to pull that one out again and bought a new one out of the junkyard, i put that in and it works perfectly so, i'm just wondering if anybody knows
CAN I CHANGE THE INPUT SHAFT OF A BORG-WARNER 5SPD OUT OF A 2.8 LITRE TO AN INPUT SHAFT OF THE V8?, RIGHT NOW THE SHAFT IS 14 SPLINE, DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT A V8 TRANNY SPLINE IS? ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!
This is my bud's new '90 Iroc !
