THIS IS ONE OF TWO PROJECT VEHICLES DEDICATED TO OUR BEST FRIEND TERRY"TILTON"MARFITE 4/12/76-11/14/03 R.I.P.

He had touched so many lives in his short lived life. He was and will always be the life of the party, the lovable man that brought laughter and joy to all that crossed his path, and last but not least the only person I have ever known to have hundreds of people sincerely consider him as one of there best friends. You will be missed, but never forgotten. Here's to you Terry from all of your loved ones!!!!
*A WORD FROM AUTOPIOT & FRIENDS*
It is our goal to better the import scene. We are not here to say that our cars are better than yours, or that our Team and or Sponsorers are better either. We collectivly hope to better the scene by setting good examples out on the street, where the non-enthusiests see us most. It only takes one individual and one incedent to ruin it for the whole. I for one would like to beleive that we have grown out of having to race every individual we see on the freeway or stoplight, and instead just transffering all that energy into REAL motorsports which only takes place on the track. Now we know that some of you may say that “that’s pussy”, or that we’re just too scared. And you know that’s just fine by us, cause you won’t find any of our cars on some flat-bed getting impounded with a $1,000 ticket to go with it. It doesn’t seem worth it to put all that time and money into your ride to have some stranger tow your ride againts your will and have to pay a G to Uncle Sam just to get YOUR RIDE back.
If you still think that what we’re saying is B/S then do this one thing, then make your decision. If your with your friends while reading this then look at them and say “What up dawg”, you know just like any other day. And if your alone then just think of the last time you chilled with your crew or boys. Now imagine that while reading this you get a phone call from another friend telling you that a homie just died in a car accident... You better beleive that just like that your life will change forever.
All in all we’re just asking to take advantage of the events that are being offered, and if there aren’t any then go to city hall and find out what it takes to start one. Talk to local buisness owners and ask there oppinions, I’m sure that they to would rather see us being productive then distructive. Just a thought.
This is a front shot of Terry's EG before the accident. Always simple and clean with a defined goal was the bulk of Terry's building habits. Soon you will see the build up Terry's new EG by Gayani one of Terry's closest friends. He's new ride will be built for autocrossing and the show circut with no holds barred in both. This is a picture of The wreckage which Gayani purchased from the tow yard. We did our best to preserve as much as possible from his original EG in order to use it on his memorial EG. It will retain the same B16 motor and tranny that Tilt's was utilizing.

This is a shot that shows the true devistating nature of Terry's accident. His Eg met a light pole at 75mph, which was the speed he was traveling after attempting to use the breaks. Detectives say that he was traveling at speeds upwards of 100mph.
It breaks my heart to look at this picture cause Terry was the closest thing I had to a brother. I post this in hopes that Terry didn't die in vain, and in hopes that those of you street racing still think twice about it. Get involved with sanctioned events. Have fun, run your car, and heck you don't have to worry about getting a ticket. And most importantly you'll have more of a chance at living unlike T. Keep that shit on the track for everyones sake.

In the picture you see "Randy"(L.A's JDM KING)who was also one of Terry's best friends. Randy has been gracious enough to take on the ever so important task of body/paint, and not to mention housing the project vehicles at his shop(The Lab). In the background is the Civic that Terry passed in, and on the right is the project 240/s13. All photos are taken at Randy's shop(A.K.A. Team Autopilots Lab)

This is Gayani, Bahn! as Terry liked to say. Gayani is building a JDM EG si in Terry's honor. Just the way Terry always wanted, and being that Gayani and Terry knew each other since middle school we're all pround to know that the si will be built to the specs. that Terry always shared with him.

Many of the mods are still "to come". We are working closely with "J-Tech" of Southern Cali.
As of now the car is almost Gutted. The gas tank and glass are still intacked but other than that it's pretty bare. Everything from the underbelly to the roof will be stripped and re-finished. Plans included removal of all sound damping material, spot welding seams along frame, and triangulated plate welding flex spots on the chassis to further stiffen the basis.

This is J-TECH in Southern Cali. They have everything hard to find for Toyota, Honda, Mazda, and Nissan enthusiests. Silvia conversions, RHD conversions, JDM Interiors/Engines/and wheels are just a few goodies J-TECH has to offer on a regular basis.
Talk to T.J or Moe, if they don't have it, then they can get it, and if they can't get it then they will direct you to a place that can get it for you! Nice people or what!! 1(562)630-0857. Please mention this post and it will aid our project.
:-)
Thank you for all of the hospitality and support J-TECH!!

This is Autopilots mad scientist, I give to you "Rich" our crew Chief! Rich has been overseeing project Tilt's S13 since it's inception(Nov./03). This man bought is first vehicle at the age of 13 and worked on it himself. A master air-cooled mechanic that has been generous enough to share his knowledge of high performance tunning and fabriation. We couldn't do this without you Bro!

Rich examining the clip at J-Tech..

Here I am churning the power of our front clip at J-Tech. Oh yes she will be mine, oh yes.

This is Autopilots way of keeping the peace....3inch stainless Bazooka's!
Ok so it's just my canister.

It's not much for a Bazooka, but along with the rest of the pipping it makes a great exhaust system. 3" full stainless pipping. Yummy.
